“Small church, but lovely on the inside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

The church is very close to Colisseum and if don't know where it is, you should chek the map cos the church itself doesn't look very beautiful from outside. But inside there is another story cos you'll see the tomb of Pope Julius II (which contains the famous Moses), sculpted by Michelangelo and the chains that have bound Saint Peter.

“Moses”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

The trip up to this church, (a short walk up the hill), just to see Moses is worth it. Do drop €1 to light up the structure if it is not lighted up already.

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

It was a real dream come true for me to finally see this place. I read about this in art history books and imagined how it would look like. When I walked in, I really feel the magnificence of the design. It is grandier than I thought of.

“go see Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses is impressive. It is free to enter the church. You will need a euro coin to turn on the lights. The church is dark. If you want to take photos, you need to pay to turn on the lights. It's worth the stop. There are also good restaurants nearby and it's open pretty late.

“A Miricle Church”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

This is a lovely small church that is not imposing at all.
It has statuary built by Michaelangelo. And of course the chains that are said to have bound St Peter.
A bit out of the way but worth a look.
