My daughter, BFF and her son stayed at the Sole Al Pantheon for 3 nights at the end of June. We had just completed a 12 day cruise and were exhausted but ready to experience Rome. This was my third trip but my friend and her son's first.

I selected this hotel based on reviews off of this website and its wonderful LOCATION. It is the best location if you are staying in Rome....close to everything...we walked every where...even to the Vatican and Coloseum.

My daughter and I stayed in one of the junior suites that overlooked the square/Pantheon. This was fabulous...and what I would recommend.

All staff were wonderful.

The breakfast was the best I have ever had in Europe!

One of the best things was the honesty of the Staff!
Upon arrival home in Houston....I discovered that I had left a very expensive bracelet in the safety deposit box.

The manager Maurizio Taliano tracked it down and as we speak...it is being FedEx's to me. This integrity has amazed me.
It would have been very easy to say that it was not available, because it was 2 days until I realized that it was missing.

My daughter and I are so thankful....I would most certainly recommend and stay at this beautiful hotel in the future.

I found my experience at this hotel delightful, the room was clean, well maintained by Catherine, and ample; clean bathroom and rather large; large screen flat-TV, but wish their mini-bar was empty to use as a refrig. The breakfast was excellent, more than excellent; staff generous with their time and always assisted me when needed. Would not hesitate to stay again, which I do expect. I was a single male traveler. HOWEVER, i would caution all to stay away from a local retail store, acroos the square and to the left of the entrance of the hotel which is directly across from a store named Armando Al Pantheon and Paper Moon; the retail to avoid is a coffee shop and gift shop; the store had an outside sign reading as follows: Regali Di Rienzo(Di Rienzo): They are selling phone cards that DO NOT WORK AND ARE BLOCKED WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO CALL; and absolutely refuse to take the cards back by simply stating whatever your complaint is "impossible." Be forewarned and avoid this store at all costs. John P. Naples, FL, USA

We stayed for 4 nights, perfect location with great breakfast in bed available until 10.30am, nice room with Pantheon view, air con, and lcd t.v! The manager is very helpful, and organized a limo for us to the airport at the last minute, for the same price as a Rome taxi! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book here again. Its worth the bit extra for the luxury and location, superior room even had a jacuzzi, essential after a long day walking the sights.

We stayed here for two nights in February, when my boyfriend surprised me with a weekend break.

On arrival, the staff were rude and didn't appear to have any time for us. Once we were able to find the room, we found a tiny double room - there was about two foot of clear space either side of the bed, and just enough room to walk past at the bottom.

The bathroom was a wet room, with a broken pastic shutter door that didn't close fully. The bathroom was dirty, you could literally run your finger along the tiny white plastic shelves and they would be coated. The furniture in the bedroom was ok though.

The neighbourhood is a little loud at night, but as you are so exhausted from all of the days walking, you can generally get to sleep ok however the cleaners woke us up early chatting loudly and banging around (none of the bedroom doors close quietly).

The only good part is its location, in the centre of Rome. But honestly, that is it.

I stay in lots of hotels with work and for leisure, and I can honestly say this is definitely not a 4 star and the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights out of the 9 we were in Rome. I had read in TA if you go to Rome only once pay for a view. It was expensive but the view and location were excellent. We had a deluxe room, which was HUGE. View not perfect but it was so much fun to see what was going on in the piazza. Had the worst night s sleep the whole time because it was SO noisy. But I would do it again. I can sleep at home! It was such a treat to see the piazza go from no one and quiet, to packed. Then to delivery trucks, garbage trucks going thru. During our stay there was a concert at the Pantheon which was wonderful to listen to sitting in bed with a glass of wine! The breakfast was the best I had. Wonderful assortment and all looked and tasted great. I wanted to try everything and kept getting my husband to take that to eat later. I didn't care if I was the piggy American! Staff was nice and helpful.
