Terrible all around:
1. Loud: Can hear other rooms and outside. Not enough insulation!
2. Food: Overpriced.
3. Interior: Fading and in need of renovation asap!
4. Staff: English skills terrible.
5. Infrastructure: Phone service useless (don't get connected after 20 rings), business centre computers don't work...
and on and on...
Next stop-Hotel de Russie. Leave the 'Hassle' behind...

My husband and I along with another couple spent 2 wonderful nights at this beautiful hotel.
Everything was perfect. We had arranged for airport pick-up by the Hassler and our very pleasant driver Gianmarco was waiting for us, helped us with our luggage and was very friendly and helpful. He gave us information about the city during our drive and got us there in very good time. Staff at the hotel were wonderful, we got some great tips from Dennis, our favourite concierge staff member, he always had perfect suggestions for us. Other concierge staff were excellent as well, helping us with other hotel reservations throughout Italy. The Palm Court Restaurant served an excellent, expensive, breakfast and the staff could not be more accommodating.
The hotel is located right at the top of the Spanish steps, so perfect to be able to walk to many attractions.
This hotel is definitely a high end hotel but well worth the splurge if you want the best hotel in Rome with the best location. We can't wait for a return visit!

I've been to Italy on my honeymoon trip , visiting Firenze, Bologna and Roma.
In Rome I have stayed at The Hotel Hassler, that I can reccommend to everybody for the incredible location, just at the top of Piazza di Spagna steps.
Our room was amazing, I suggest to everybody to ask and stay in the high floor rooms to enjoy a terrific view of the city.
The hotel is really expensive, but dining in the 6th floor restaurant has worth the price...!!
Only negative note...the service was all right, but the personnel wasn't really friendly.

Beautiful wedding anniversary in Eternal City!

As my wife Jane never visited Rome, I surprised her for our 40th wedding anniversary (time flies!) with a five-day visit to the Eternal City she dreamt to visit.
Our son and daughter-in-law very kindly offered us as a present a four night stay in one of the most beautiful hotels we've ever seen!
Well-situated on top of the Spanish stairs - overlooking Rome - (a blessing to hear the dozens of church bells on Sunday) - we received a warm welcome from the staff (even received on the first day a bottle of champagne and a bowl of fruit in our room as gift from the hotel for the occasion!). Original breakfast room (outside terrace covered by a tent but watch the birds who come and pick at croissants!) - beautiful lounge and bar - very comfortable bed - restaurant we regretfully didn't go to because we were visiting from early morning to late night and tried the local pizze, pasta etc. in smaller places,...
Very, very classy place with stylish staff. Only one small remark: a few flowers missing in the hall or on the desk of the concierge - makes the difference in such a palace when you come in?

Our Hassler experience began with a transfer they arranged from the airport...driver met us on time at the baggage claim with a sign, and was thoroughly delightful and personable...a great ambassador for his city, especially for first-time visitors like us. We had requested a room with a view and wow! what a view! The room was absolutely gorgeous, fitted with everything you could wish for and more. Bathroom was large and luxurious with lighting that made us 60+ folks look good! We had a spot of trouble with the wi-fi connection (free) but the hotel sent up a tech directly and he fixed it in a jiffy. Walking out on the balcony every morning to appreciate the panoramic view was incredible, and the beautiful weather didn't hurt a bit. Breakfast in the Palm Court, included in the price, was super delicious and the setting is lovely. The public rooms, in fact, are all very beautiful.
The staff was gracious, friendly, efficient and professional. We loved them all.
The location is wonderful - the double paned floor to ceiling windows kept the noise out at night - and we were able to go for a jog each morning before breakfast at the Pincio and across to the Borghese Gardens. There is a fabulous restaurant five minutes' walk from the hotel, just where the Pincio begins - Casina Valadier. Yikes, so beautiful and sooo yummy.
We will be returning to the Hassler for sure...it's expensive but worth it in every way.
