Loved this hotel. Location, staff, room, cleanliness were all on point. We were on the first floor, corner, with a view of the Pantheon. Room was larger then expected. Michele in the bar was a joy to talk to as well. If I go back to Rome I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Pantheon view is a must.

Great hotel in a perfect location. Been there for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The location is perfect, and we visited all sites by foot. The room is not big but good enough the bathroom is quite big. Breakfast and service more than expected.

People at the front desk are really nice, friendly and always available. Rooms are very clean. Location is amazing everything is real close. Breakfasts are also very good. Space in room is ok. Shampoo and necessities are also available 24/7. Highly recommended.

Thanks to TA reviews for steering us to this gem of a hotel.

We did a Princess cruise from Venice to Rome in late September and tacked on two days at the end to see Rome for the first (not last!) time. We chose Albergo del Senato for it's location and were swayed by the guests photos on line.

We were being guided by Rome in Limo on an 8 hour tour of the city but we stopped at the hotel around 9 a.m to drop off our luggage from the ship. The hotel kindly took care of it while we enjoyed(understatement) our tour. When we returned at 5 pm our room was ready and our luggage was already there, as was a welcome bottle of red wine (grazie!)

We had a Jnr Suite on the 6 th floor with a little terrace looking down on the Pantheon. There was a balcony door leading off the small bedroom. There was a living room with large flat screen tv down a hallway. In this room was a large writing desk and tea/coffee making facilities. Very much appreciated! The bedroom was small but had a big closet and another tv (which was never turned on as the Piazza Della Rotunda below was constant entertainment).

The bathroom was spacious and as well as a bathtub and a separate shower (with door) there was a bidet next to the toilet. Thick absorbent towels and robes completed the amenities.

The suite was nicely furnished throughout. Everything was clean and in working order so no need to call reception to complain, which is how we like our hotels!

We were one floor below the rooftop bar which opens at 4pm to hotel guests only and this is the place to watch the sun setting as it silhouettes the dome of St. Peter's Basilica while listening to the buskers in the square below. The buskers play much of the day and are all good musicians and singers but if you want to take an afternoon nap you may want to bring earplugs or book a room at the rear of the hotel. Piazza della Rotunda is a hive of humanity all day as it is ringed by restaurants and features a popular fountain and of course the biggest draw-the Pantheon.

The hotel is an oasis of calm in the midst of the hubbub.

The two elevators within are the smallest I have ever seen so you may have to take separate elevators to move your luggage up to your room.

The desk staff are among the friendliest and most helpful you will find in any hotel. They gave us good recommendations for restaurants and highlighted the route on a map and called and ensured a table for us. The route took us through nearby Piazza Navona which is a great place to people-watch and relax.

Breakfast is included-a small buffet by US standards but the food is good and the coffee sublime.
There are two rooms to dine in and both are beautiful places to start your day.

Taxis are available across the square at the far side of the Pantheon but you can walk to many of the sights and stop to smell the roses in some of the narrow cobbled streets that have stood for centuries just waiting for you....

We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this beautiful hotel and fell in love with Rome in 2 seconds flat. We will return to Rome and when we do we will stay at Albergo del Senato to enjoy their hospitality once more. If it ain't broke...

We were in room 102 where we literally looked out onto the Piazza Della Rotonda - and the evocative Pantheon. We were delighted to open our window to watch a fantastic free show unfolding in the Piazza, Italian opera - so beautiful. This is a perfect location for sightseeing, with most of the main attractions in close proximity.

Of course, there were some amazing restaurants , very nearby - that almost goes without saying. We experienced such a warm and friendly welcome, we were made to feel very special.

This has to feature in our top 10 of hotels that we have visited.

Room Tip: Get on overlooking the square - but be prepared to catch some italian atmosphere - when the street e...

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The location is perfect. It's within walking distance of almost everything you'd want to see in Rome: Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Colloseum, Roman Forum, Palatino Mount, Vatican (museum, St Peter's square and basilicum), Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Navona, etc. The staff is also very friendly and the free Internet over WiFi worked really well. However, it is quite noisy. Not because the area is noisy - it is quite quiet - but because the walls are paper thin. You hear absolutely everything from the rooms next to you (including someone plugging a charger in a power outlet), everything from the corridor (including the cleaning ladies walking around) and everything from outside (whether the mopeds from the small street on the south side, or the various singers & guitar players from the pedestrian square on the west side).

Room Tip: the higher and towards the west, the least noisy.

This Hotel is located in the ancient city center. At its front entry is the Pantheon located in the Piazza della Rotonda. There are several restaurants in this piazza, and many just a few minutes in any direction from the Hotel. The Hotel offers an excellent breakfast of fresh fruit, cheese, baked goods, eggs, bacon, fruit juices, and cereals. You can easily walk to the Piazza Navonna in 5 minutes, 10 minutes to the Trevi fountain, 20 minutes to the Spanish steps, and about 20 minutes to the Vatican. There are lots of shops in the area. Everything you would want to see is a short walk from the Hotel, or if you would rather not walk, there is a taxi stand beside the Pantheon. The staff is wonderful, and they all speak English, French, German, as well as Italian. This is a very clean, well appointed Hotel that you will really enjoy.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Pantheon
