“Everything was just great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

I have written less than a handful of reviews but my wife and I agreed that this hotel definitely deserved good feedback. We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate 10th anniversary and everything was just perfect!

Extremely friendly and helpful service. Special props to Mauro at front desk who gave excellent directions and restaurant advice.

Breakfast was superb -- yogurt, eggs, fresh fruit, etc. cappuccino made for you too!!! Ladies at breakfast were very cheery.

Location was also just right. Of course Pantheon is out front door and gives great atmosphere in the square. We walked to many of major Rome sites and so can you if in decent shape and know how to use a map. I was concerned that noise may be a problem since our window faces the square (most do I guess too) but it was not a problem. This may be because we were on 4th floor so I can't vouch for lower floors.

Rooms were cleaned, towels replaced,, etc. once a day in addition to room being freshened up in the evening. Room was super clean and recently renovated.

I honestly only have good things to say about the hotel.

This is a great hotel- they helped arrange a limo from the airport for just 55 euros! A cab is 50 so this is excellent. I had booked a bottle of bubbly for the room on arrival and as they forgot they gave us the bottle free in the amazing roof bar. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice.
However, none of this compares to the location of the hotel, to open your window and see the Parthenon is incredible and, if it is a little more than hotels on edge of Rome, this will be saved in cabs and transportation.
DON'T THINK, JUST BOOK IT YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY! :)

one of the best locations, close to all main attractions, bonus of having a rooftop terrace with magnificent view especially during a sunset. Rooms, beds, bathrooms are of good class with all necessary equipment. Note that in Italy irons are not allowed in the rooms, so if you need to iron your clothes you ask in laundry service. We had a room facing Pantheon and you should be ready that Rotonda square in front is crowded almost 20 hours per day, but with windows closed you can get a good sleep as they are perfectly soundproof.
Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, you can always get a good advice as well as assistance - they booked for us a visit to Villa Borgese Art Gallery as well as airport transfer, which was very helpful as taxi-drivers in Rome are not very reliable and honest. If you come to Rome by train, be aware that price to the hotel is maximum 15 Euro. Don't believe taxi drivers saying they have to charge you more because roads in the center are closed due to strike or smth and they need to go extra distance around. Make sure they switch the taxometer on.

My husband and I and two teenagers spent three nights at Albergo del Senato in July. We stayed in the mini-apartment which was the perfect arrangement for our family. The kids had twin beds on the main floor and we had a separate bedroom in a loft area above. It was less expensive than booking two rooms at other hotels and we got to experience the fantastic location and great service of this hotel. The people working at the front desk were all very helpful and professional. The breakfast was quite extensive and we loved our morning cappuccinos. The hotel opens out to the piazza with the Pantheon. It was a lively area and very centrally located. Our room was very clean and surprisingly modern and spacious. The A/C worked really well, which was a nice bonus in the warm summer. If we return to Rome we will definitely stay here again. This hotel would be hard to top.

You can't get a better hotel or location for the cost!!!
Rooms were small but the view of the Pantheon made up for the room size.
It's a long climb to the roof bar but it was worth it!! Be prepared, a gin and tonic is 10 euros but you get the view.
The desk staff was always polite and ready with a suggestion for diner, shopping and even a spa after a hard day of sight-seeing.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. We just figured out that we need the bigger and more American hotels.

This review may sound redundant if you have read lots of reviews, but bear with me. This is the place to stay.
Six key reasons:
(1) Do not be fooled by a location that may attract lots of tourists. The building is quiet and our room was away from all hustle and bustle. Plus, (2) there are private seats with umbrellas right in front of the hotel, reserved for guests, with great people-watching, merely 75 feet from the Pantheon.
(3) The hotel is impeccably well-run. The concierge staff is knowledgable, patient and gracious. (4) Our room (again, 75 feet from a 2000-year-old temple to pagan gods) was modern, efficient, stunningly well designed and amazingly quiet and comfortable.
(5) Breakfast was diverse, fresh, and included in the room price.
(6) There are so many great places to eat and things to see that are mere 5-minute walks from the front door. The location really is amazing. This was my third visit to Rome, but I had never seen the city like this. Way excellent.

Room Tip: We stayed in the apartment on the main floor, and it was excellent. It is like a loft, with two twin...

My husband and I stayed for four nights at the Albergo Del Senato in January 2013. This is a very nice hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. The location can't be beat. Walking distance to just about everything. Our room faced the Pantheon and although it was small, it was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are excellent and very accommodating. When we return to Rome next year we will most definitely stay at the Albergo del Senato.
