Can only add to most of the comments that tell you this is really a great location to be in. Much seems to be made of having a room with a view of the Pantheon. We didn't have this view but spent very little time in our room after all we were here to explore Rome and you can see the Pantheon every time you step outside the hotel. The room was small but adequate and very clean. The only thing I would say is that the maids can be quite noisy in the mornings and guests leaving to catch early morning flights while we were there were also quite inconsiderate although this is of course no fault of the hotel. We actually had to bang on the wall at about 2 a.m. one day in order to get the room next door to turn the TV down! There is no noise from outside the hotel to particularly disturb you though. Breakfast at the hotel was fine.
The hotel can recommend some good restaurants for you to eat in. It is, however, very expensive to eat out in Rome. Try to avoid eating on the main piazzas and take a wander down the side streets. Have a look at the menu and stay away from anywhere that advertises a special tourist menu or who charge more than around 5-6 Euros for a basic pizza.
Don't leave without visiting the Vatican but be prepared for massive queues. Best to get a guided tour arranged from the hotel if you can as they are allowed in slightly early. We took our chances and queued with a guide for 2 hours! It was absolutely worth it though.
Suggest you get the hotel to arrange transport to and from the airport. We got a taxi to the hotel which was a nightmare and cost more. The hotel arranged our journey back and it was by far the better and cheaper option.
The hotel is in walking distance of many of the sites you will want to see. Hope you have fun!
