Plan on seeing this fountain, this is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome. The fountain is pretty awesome no matter what side you look at- if you want a beautiful square to rest and people watch, come here.
Interesting sculptures showing 4 rivers known in 1600's. Uruguay's Rio de la Plata is the surprise river only because other big rivers like the Amazon had not been discovered yet. It can be on the walking route to the Pantheon& Trevi Fountain.
An interesting square where artists set up easels and offer paintings for sale. If you have time check out the ruins of the original entrance to this piazza when it ws a race track A.D. 80.
If you are a Bernini fan this is for you,it is magnificant.My favorite time is to go in the very early morning and admire it from all angles.They represent the four rivers,Danube,the Ganges,the Nile,and the Plate,the four figures represent the four continents Europe,Asia,Africa,and America.There ar two other small fountains on either side in the piazza Fountain of the moor,the figure being Triton,and the other is Neptune Fountain.Bring your camera,and take a stroll through this beautiful piazza to admire the fountain of the four rivers,and if oyu are an Angels and Demons fan this is the fountain in one of the scenes!!!
Nice place with nice fountain. The best time to go there is when the place is busy with its market and just walk around.
After running all over Rome, Piazza Novana is the perfect place to slow down, have a drink or meal and enjoy the sights and people watching. The Fountain of the Four Rivers in the middle of the piazza is spectacular.
