This was my favourite place in all of Rome, history right before your eyes!
Such a breath taking place I can't find the words! Just go there and try to imagine all the activity that once walked the same paths as you are walking, it's amazingly mind blowing fantastic!
Loved meeting the tabby cat half way round, he looked chilled out, like he's keeping an eye on all the restoration jobs that are going on!
Could have done with a few more visual prompts for those who's brains can't compute any more and want to envision what it was all like. But really WOW, no trip is complete with a visit.

This place was a really amazing site but the downside of it there arent any signs telling you the history of the place or what each building or ruins were. I had to keep looking at my wikapedia to check what everything was. If you are going here and want to know the history then i would look into getting a guide, but if you are just wanting to site see then dont get a guide , and make sure you get a guide that you can understand a lot of the guides i heard around us i couldnt understand and they were speaking english.

Like stepping back in time. These ruins date back in time around the 7th Century and was the hub of economic and commerical activities. A good tip I can offer is to buy a book called Rome Past and present, which is sold by street vendors near by. This book will give you images of what the ruins looked like back in the 7th century. A must when you visit Rome.

The construction sites keep moving around blocking off routes which makes it frustrating to walk the grounds.
But be sure to visit Palatine Hill, museum and newly excavated areas. Especially the good frescoes in Augustus house even tho there will be lines to get in.
The number of W.C.s have increased! Refill your water bottle at the Forum's public fountains. Fascinating
Be aware that weekend student demonstrations seem to start near Forum and caused a large police presence and nearby streets to be block to traffic--including public transportation.
