After 5 glorious days of sunshine, we managed to get a drizzly day on our trip to Rome. What better way to spend a wet day than a trip to the National Roman Museum.
There was an exhibition right as we entered (something to do with dresses, I think I blacked out from boredom) but we quickly slipped past that to get to the heart of the Museum.
There are a couple of famous sculptures, including the boxer. Also, the mosaics and frescoes are well-presented and well-maintained and are a little easier to view than other mosaics you might see in situ at their original locations.
There are some impressive sarcophagus' as well, one in particular was an amazing carved marble item. Definitely worth a visit to this museum.
