We trusted the reviews on Trip Advisor and ate at this restaurant, my husband and me. A stone's throw from Campo dei Fiori down a little, narrow street, this restaurant is a real gem. It was lovely inside and the owner briefly described all the items on the menu but with real detail of what spices/herbs etc were in the dishes so you could make an informed decision as to whether it suits or not. It was obvious that he knew all the dishes inside out. The bread was delicious and we started with a platter of raw fish (oysters, tuna, seabass and prawns) which I really thought I might not like but it was superb. Then we tried the ravioli which was as far from Heinz as Rome is from England - it was absolutely delightful with some amazing flavours. The mixed fish platter afterwards was likewise superb and all in all, the meal ranks up there with my top ten and was certainly the best meal we've had in Rome. We were impressed by the owner who seemed to move effortlessly between all the tables at just the right times and, similarly, the view we had of the kitchen was of chefs producing the most amazing food in a relaxed but focussed manner. We'd definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone. Not cheap but totally worth it!
