The service at our recent stay was extraordinary. When we arrived late and the shuttle downtown was full, the concierge paid for our taxi! When we were sunburned, the conceirge offered to get us sunscreen from the Pharmacy - free of charge. It was above and beyond anything we had ever experienced. The view is spectacular from the hotel, the pool is nice and deep and the rooms are very luxurious. The hotel is by far the best we have stayed at. The only negative is that it is far from the landmarks and the free shuttle ends at 8pm which is before dinner. Althought a cab ride from Piazza Barberini is only about 15 Euros.

Can't say enough great things about this hotel. Every employee I interacted with was polite and helpful. The restaurants and room service were top notch. The pool area was nicely done. The room was very large by European standards and beautifully furnished. The only downside was the location. You really can't walk to any of the major sites. They do have a shuttle that takes you to a central location, but it doesn't depart early enough to get you to many of the day tours, and it stops running for a few hours in the early afternoon. However, taking a few $10 cab rides is worth it to stay in such an elegant hotel.

Wonderful hotel to stay in Rome if you are seeking a quiet refuge from the fast pace of Roma! There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the heart of the tourist attractions, and will pick you back up at several appointed times. This hotel is just a few minutes away, but upon entereing, you are immediately swept away by the pure opulence of the hotel. The rooms were spacious & beautifully decorated. Room service was swift and accurate. The pool area was nice & cozy. The prices are a bit steep, but as an American traveler, I felt very comfortable with the Hilton name & would recommend the hotel to others.

Since our last visit to this hotel it had changed from a Hilton to a Waldorf Astoria collection. This is supposed to be an upgrade, but not in this case. There were scuff marks on the wall of our room and I had to call maintenance twice because of leaky toilet plumbing. This hotel has fabulous views of Rome but it is about a 20 min ride from the downtown area. They do have a shuttle bus that runs about once an hour from city center. The staff at this hotel were not the least bit helpful and I had to spend about 20 minutes trying to get someone to help me print out our boarding passes. Not what one would expect from a supposed "world class" hotel. We are top tier members in the Hilton Hhonors program and certainly expected better service than we received.
