“My favorite area in Rome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Narrow cobbled streets like you would imagine to find in Italy combined with the best restaurants for dinner and nightlife. What more would you ask? This is also very Bohemian and artsy area so expect to find small art galleries and designer shops, tucked between the bars and restaurants...

“Nice place to explore”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Trastevere was very picturesque and a lovely place to spend an afternoon or morning exploring. Not much to see though, other than the much-touted lines of washing hung across the buildings and vine-covered buildings.

“great place to wander around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Trastevere is a great place to wander around. they have great shops and restraunts. they also have a few churches worth checking out. I downloaded Rick Steves walking tour for Trastevere on my i phone and it took me through Trastevere, to some churches and great gillato. I travel by myself so having the R.S. walking tour on my i phone i never got lost. this is a lively place but has some of the best restraunts in town

This area of Rome is all about small narrow streets, cobble stones, lots of wonderful restaurants and unique shops. It is very lively, quaint, a photographers delight.
