“Well put together and recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

Highly recommended!!! No prior cooking experience needed.

The good - hands-on cooking, very engaging with our teens and the group as a whole, very knowledgeable, totally fresh supplies, we made everything from scratch including pasta, and they took care of all the cleanup.

Suggested improvements - while Chef Andrea is very good at what he does, he carries a bit of professional conceit that may offend the less culturally initiated. The kitchen is a bit on the small side but adequate for a class of eight - the max class size is 12 and would be too cramped in our opinion.

All things considered, we thoroughly enjoyed the optional wine pairing, the personalized tutoring with Chef Andrea and Erica, and would definitely repeat the class with a slightly different venue, which I believe is offered.

“A 'must-do' while in Rome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

The highlight of our trip -which was not in 2013 but can't select a previous year- was to attend this cooking class with Chef Andrea. My husband and I love to cook so this activity was a "must do". It is definitely a hands-on experience! Andrea will teach you the cooking techniques as well as some history in Roman cuisine. You will cook under his supervision and then you will seat and enjoy being served each of the four courses prepared and you will have the time to chat with the other attendants as well as Andrea. The food was delicious, with carefully selected local ingredients. The dishes change depending on the season, which makes the experience even better. I recommended this cooking class to a few friends and they also loved it. I absolutely recommend this activity if you enjoy good food, good cooking and learning from a great chef. Thanks Andrea!

It was really interesting to go through the full process of a traditional Roma meal! Learned so much about cooking pasta and sauce that I will use long into the future!

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Firstly, my apologies to Chef Andrea for the late review, I didn't realize the original one had not gone through!
This experience was the highlight of our visit to Rome this year. We'd often talked about doing a cooking class, but due to our poor culinary skills were hesitant about trying it. So very glad we did, and still talk about our wonderful day. Chef Andrea was the perfect teacher and made us feel like we could all be master chefs. Everything was organized and ready to go when we arrived in the morning. Using the most wonderful fresh ingredients, we helped make some delicious dishes including Fiori di zucca, Chicken Cacciatore, yummy pasta and of course Tiramisu. I had asked if Andrea was able to include an artichoke and zucchini
flowers dish in our class, and was delighted to find they were on the menu. He encouraged us to participate with the preparation, stirring, chopping, peeling, stuffing and even making the pasta. All the while keeping us entertained thoughout the day with his humour and anecdotes. Once the classes are finished, he emails the recipes that were used to all the participants so they can try to recreate them at home. His knowledge of food and the local roman cuisine is just amazing, and gave us a real insight into its history. It was such a treat to be served the meals we had helped to prepare, by Andrea and his lovely wife Erica. They are a fantastic team and make this experience one to remember. Our sincere Thanks Andrea and Erica, we will be back for another class when we return to Rome. Murray and Sylvia

“The highlight of our trip to Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

Taking a cooking class with Chef Andrea Consoli of COOKING CLASSES IN ROME was the highlight of our trip to Rome. Together with 9 avid cooks from all over the world my husband and I spent 5 enchanted hours in Chef Andrea's kitchen chopping, peeling and cooking our delicious 4-course meal. The knowledgeable, charming Chef taught us what the aut member. While the other 10 ate the mushroom scallopini they've cooked, Chef Andrea did not forget I was a Vegetarian and prepared a lovely Caprese salad just for me. Over a delicious meal we cooked ourselves, we received tips and recommendations for restaurants and Cafes in Rome. The atmosphere was wonderful and we had a great time. We already cooked some of the dishes to our family and will do so many more times. We enthusiastically recommend you to give yourselves this lovely experience on your coming visit to Rome
