“excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

We stayed here for our last night of our trip and the BEST thing about it was the location! You literally walk out the door, around the corner, and there is the Trevi Fountain! Even with all of the hustle and bustle of this highly travelled area, the rooms are exceptionally quiet. The decor is lovely and the rooms and bathrooms well outfitted and very enjoyable to stay in. This hotel was definitely value for money and again, the location was great!

If you want a B&B that is in the middle of Rome, this is the place for you. When you open the door and step out onto the street, you truly are 100 steps away from the Trevi Fountain.

A couple of notes.. if you are driving into Rome (as we did), the B&B is in a restricted access zone (no cars)... so you need to park nearby... Emanuele provided us with the name/address of a parking lot about 4 or 5 blocks away and recommended we park there and roll our luggage (downhill) to the B&B... we did this without too much trouble... then we had to hike back up to the car so we could drop it off at the rental agency...

The B&B is on a small side street... no sign (that I remember)... you need to find the street, then the address, then find Cenci on the 'buzzer' list... push the buzzer and someone should answer and let you in.

There IS a (small) elevator... which is a good thing as the B&B is up on the third floor... however, to use the elevator you need a key... when we buzzed in, Emanuele came down and made sure we (and our luggage) got in the elevator...

We stayed in the red room... large room, clean, window onto the street... the ensuite bathroom was fine... small shower though... we had our windows closed at night... and we you could hear the street sounds (people, restaurants, singers, organ players etc.) from below... not loud... didn't bother us much - but it might if you are a light sleeper.

It was warm in Rome when we were there so we ran the air conditioner at night.. unfortunately, the AC unit is below the window so when you close the curtains the AC unit gets blocked... you might want to bring along a couple of safety pins to pin back the curtains so the cool air of the AC isn't blocked...

Breakfasts were good... usual meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. etc

And lastly, Emanuele and his team... they are warm, friendly and willing to help... if you need anything, just ask.

My mother and I stayed here for two days while we were in Rome to be closer to the tourist attractions. We arrived about 12 hours earlier than expected but Emanuele greeted us and while we waited for our room to be finished, he sat down with us and using a map, oriented us to the area and gave us recommendations on what to see and where to eat. He also offered us something to drink and pastries while we waited. The room was modern, very clean and spacious, wonderful considering our expectations of hotel rooms in Rome. The fountain is literally on the other side of the building - you can hear it from your room (typically in the early mornings when it's quiet). Our room was surprisingly quiet despite the location. Breakfast was plentiful with sandwich fixings, eggs, yogurt, and pastries. Overall, great experience and I'd stay here again.

We were in the red room. Spacious and clean great shower. Typical hard bed but no aches or pain from it. Emanuele's girlfriend greeted us on sunday, mapped out how to get to sights and gave a great restaurant recommendation. Met Emanule who was gracious and even had a shirt cleaned for me because I stained it. Left window open and could hear Trevi fountain's water flowing. Breakfast good start to the day.

Room Tip: Red room was great. Other travelers liked there rooms too.

We were instantly excited to walk into this amazing B and B. it's literally right next to the trevi fountain. The room were fantastic and the staff so helpful!

Breakfast was perfect - plentiful but basic.

This is my favourite hotel from about a billion I've stayed at. Only one minor thing. The walls are quite thin and we woke to our neighbors. Do not let this deter you

Couldn't be closer to the Trevi Fountain, which means also you are within walking distance to just about everything else. The greeting was warm and informative. The rooms are clean & modern (GREAT shower!) and we were not disturbed by any street noise (but we were out till at least midnight).

We loved our stay at Cenci B and B. Emanuele Cenci, our host, arranged our transportation from the cruise line to the B and B and from the B and B to the airport. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely mix of Italian meats, cheeses, fruit, juices, pastry, and fresh cappuccino. Emanuele was very helpful and accommodated our every request. He gave us directions, maps, and handy tips for navigating around Rome. There was a computer for our use. This lovely B and B is literally around the corner from the Trevi Fountain. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!
