“Nice and modern suburb hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2011

Advantages:
- prices
- very modern
- very clean
- quiet
- nice personnel
- large bath and rooms
- tasty Breakfast

Disadvantages if you don't have a car:
- distance to downtown
- not so easily to find this location. Via Flaminia is a very long street.
Directions: from down town(Piazza del Popolo) the best solution is to take the train up until Flaminia station(10-15 min max). 1euro cost the ticket per person and can be bought from the reception. With the buss is not very comfortable and it will need 2 of these to get there.

Even though is a little bit far away, the rapport price quality is excellent.

Roma point hotel was excellent. I truly loved my 1 night stay there. It is a bit out of town, but close to where I needed to be. The staff was super friendly and helpful (I needed directions along the way :) the room was clean, loved the decoration, I do believe I got more value than I paid for. Its a 3 star hotel, but one off the best 3 star hotels I stayed at thus far.

I've stayed at plenty of budget priced hotels in Europe, but nothing beats a deal such as the Roma Point Hotel. The location is exceptionally clean, the staff is very friendly (and they all understand English) and the area that the hotel is located in a very quiet and nice area. They also offer a lot of amentities, which are already set up in your room. They are toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, cotton swabs, cotton pads and slippers. The fact that the hotel is very clean and looks very new is also a plus. The beds were very comfortable and the room we booked was very spacious.

Free internet was included in the past, but they are now charging 3 Euros an hour for internet. Also, keep in mind they do not have Wi-Fi at this area. There are not a lot of places to eat in this area, but if you happen to take the 232 bus to the Flaminia district, there are a lot of restaurants in that area to choose from.

If you are traveling by public transportation from the airport, it is very confusing. My suggestion is to take the Metro A going to in the Battisini direction and getting off at Flaminio Station (Which is 4 stops). As you exit the subway, head over to Flaminio Station and take anyone of the trains going in the direction of Viterbo. Your stop for the hotel will be at Grotta Rossa Station not Du Pointe. Once you get off of Grotta Rossa Station, take the exit on your left. The left exit is a ramp that will lead you down a path and will curve to the right. That path will take you to an overpass, which you will cross to get to the other side of the freeway. Once you get to the other side, take the street located behind the overpass to the hotel. The walk will take less then 7 minutes. The hotel will be located on your left side.

The Roma Point Hotel is just outside the capital in a suburban area called (Grottarossa) is undoubtedly the latest example of the return of Italy’s own three-star matches.
Location: The only way the public approaches the hotel is the railway north of Rome, with dilapidated carriages and stations from the post war period with signs and ill-marked trails that wind through underbrush memory of the Amazon. At night the road between the station and the hotel ( which is approximately 5min walk) is deserted and looks a bit dangerous.
Hotel Roma Point appears to be a more than excellent solution for a diverse audience.
Returning to the structure, modern in style, you will have the opportunity to stay in good size rooms, furnished with good taste in furniture that is in the coating bath and bedroom and with beds that friends overseas would call a king-size bed, enjoy a relaxing shower in the box where you set up a dual union, one hard rain, the other mobile jet freely adjustable temperature and flow rate.
Simple and cheap is the inevitable mini-bar that looks like a mini window immediately opposite the entrance, below and next to the lock of the safe-cabinet with hangers, drawers and cupboards.
Sky HD LCD TV with integrated, access the Internet and some nice toiletries complete the offer that the room is. The staff is friendly and strives to satisfy the customers in their requests and needs. Breakfast was up to the standards

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights while on holiday in Rome. The hotel is very new and everything is in excellent working condition and impeccably clean. There are a lot of nice touches, such as the largest shower I've ever had the pleasure of using, an enormous, very comfortable (to me - the mattrass was very firm which I like, but others might not) bed, and lovely atmospheric lighting.

Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help and answer questions. Most staff members speak English very well, and on the one occasion where a staff member did not understand what we were asking he immediately went to get a colleague who could translate. When my partner managed to drop the card that operates the lights and the AC and have it disappear behind a skirting board, this was replaced immediately and without charge.

I was very impressed with the (included in the price) breakfast on offer, especially as breakfast in Italian hotels can be a little hit and miss. There was a wide variety of pastries, bread, cheese and meat, jam, fresh fruit, and cereal available, as well as coffees, teas and juices. Even turning up ten minutes before the end of breakfast as we did on the last day, there was no shortage of anything. The hotel does not serve dinner, but the restaurant next door is very good.

The only problem we had was getting to the hotel on the day we arrived. We were arriving by public transport and misunderstood the directions on the hotel website, which are contradictory and not very clear, and ended up having to phone the hotel for help after getting very lost indeed. The hotel is easy to reach by public transport from the center of Rome once you know how, but that takes a fair bit of effort to figure out.
