“Immaculate, Super Modern and Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

I Stayed in December. We arrived after midnight and were checked in very quickly.
The room was spacious and spotless and had double wardrobes, a fridge and huge firm but very comfortable bed. The bedding was gleaming white and of high quality. The black-out curtains were extremely effective and we slept until quite late the following morning and missed breakfast.

The bathroom was again a good size and contained a reasonable sized walk in shower which had a fixed shower head and a hand held one. Toiletries consisted of shower cap and body/hair shampoos. The towels were white, thick, fluffy and large.
The reception staff were knowledgeable and helpful and directed us to bus stops and cafes and restaurants.
The location was brilliant, surrounded by cafes, and gift shops and good eating establishments. 10/15 minutes’ walk and you were at the Coliseum. 5 minutes’ walk to the hop on hop off bus stop, 2 minutes’ walk to McDonalds.

The hotel was super modern and immaculate everywhere. Wifi was free in the rooms and was very efficient. The lifts were semi glass so you looked out onto the atrium as you escalated up to the relevant floor. Most of the major attractions were in walking distance 15/25 minutes and the Vatican could be easily reached by bus or train or taxi.

The hotel did not have a restaurant but you could bring your own food in and eat on the terrace. A super shiny and clean microwave and hot water for drinks is provided on floor 3. The vending machines found on various floors, offer snacks, toiletries and alcohol at a very reasonable price; a soft drink costing 1 euro. The hotel also had a laundry, it cost 4 euros for a wash and the laundry includes an iron and ironing board for guests to use.

Breakfast was lovely lots of teas to choose from, coffee machine, cheeses, bread, cakes and hot options too.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I loved my stay and couldn’t fault it at all (and I am very fussy where I lay my head).
Rome is awesome, so much to see and do right on the doorstep of this hotel.
This hotel will be my hotel of choice when visiting Rome.

Good location, walk to Termini. Good restaurants nearby. Close to public transport. Great staff. Only problem was inadequate Airconditioning and that was in May when the temperatures were not that high. We had an internal room. So ask about the aircon when booking esp if travelling in a Summer. Cezar on front desk went over and above in everyday. Roof top bar is great. Beers from the drink machine are room temperature. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay. Worth including breakfast. Cafeteria style but a good selection.

Guest_Relations_Rome, Responsabile relazioni con la clientela at iQ Hotel Roma, responded to this review, yesterday
Dear Guest,

First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time in writing about your stay in May!
It seems that you have appreciated out modern style and concept and that you have had a pleasant experience overall. We are sorry, however, that you have found a couple of points which have not left you completely satisfied.

As for the air-conditioning we can confirm that our current system is a centralized one, therefore guests may vary only slightly the temperature from their rooms. It might be possible that at the time we were still adjusting the system to the higher May temperatures and therefore it might have given you the sensation that the room was too warm for your taste.
Since some other guests have expressed their concern about our air-conditioning, our management is considering the possibility of switching the system altogether to another one.

As for the beer in the vending machines not being cool enough, we have to admit that you are the first guest reporting this kind of matter. We may only venture to think that maybe at the time of your purchase we had just replenished the vending machines and the beer bottles did not have the time to cool sufficiently. We are only sorry that you did not think of mentioning or calling our front office about this matter; we would have certainly found an immediate solution for you.

This said, we hope that you will have the opportunity to come and visit us again in the new future.

Great service, rooms were decent size and very clean. Strong wifi in room.

Loved the idea of having vending machines on each floor! There is also a vending machine with alcohol on the top floor which we only discovered on our last day. It is so convenient if you wanted a drink as it is much cheaper to get it from the vending machines. Also there is a Carrefour just around the corner if you want to stock up on any junk food.

There is self service laundry available for those of you who have been travelling prior to Rome and has a suitcase full of dirty clothes!

The staff are very welcoming and always wanting to help.

I would definitely come back to this hotel as location was walking distance to Termini station too!

Room Tip: Room was spacious so can't go wrong!

This hotel was fantastic.
It was located perfectly off the national street which is walking distance from everything important and worth seeing (all the famous piazas/shopping areas/colosseum..etc) and a short taxi drive away from the Vatican.
The staff were great.
The room had everything a person needs to feel comfortable with a pleasant look.
Tons of restaurants and cafes aroudn the area all highly rated.
Overall we were very happy to stay here and will be coming again for sure.
Highly recommended!

Stayed here in April on a family vacation, and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in walking distance from the Central Train Station, as well as to the metro, and other sites. Hotel staff were all very pleasant, friendly and courteous. Rooms were modern, clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!!

Clean, modern and spacious room. We were travelling about 20 days, and the laundry helped us a lot! The neighborhood is not dangerous as they say ... and there are great restaurants nearby! Great staff, if I go to Rome again, I will stay there, definitely.
