“Great hotel near everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2011

It has been a few months since our lovely trip to Italy. I already reviewed a few places we stayed, but I was reminded of the lovely IQ hotel the other day (they helped translate a traffic violation we received in the mail the other day).

While there is something to be said for old world charm and history, there is also something to be said for modern convenience and cleanliness. After spending all day looking at beautiful art and history, it was nice to come back to an ultr modern shower and clean, comfy beds!

We stayed 3 nights at the IQ Roma. Very nice, new hotel, with a large room. The roof top terrace was fine, but no views since it was fenced in all around. Hotel staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. No language problems at all. We walked throughout the central district from the hotel. Walked to the Galleria Borghesi in about 20 minutes. Several very good restaurants within a block or so. I would stay here again without question.

Very small rooms. The front desk staff is a bit abrupt, but it is a very good value for your money. The roof top lounge is a great place to grab a bottle of vino before a stroll down "Grand Nationale".

Room Tip: High floor away from elevator

Pleasant well located Hotel with good amenities very close to Termini and also most of the main attractions of Rome. Excellent staff who were aware of our early arrival and early departure and went out of their way to ensure that we were well accommodated with our requests. Very pleasant experience for Rome. Will use them again without doubt.

I traveled to Italy with my family in March of 2011. We started in Venice, then Florence and then Rome. I was excited to see iQ Hotel Roma because it was new and supposedly very nice. I was slightly disappointed. My family had two rooms. One for my two daughters and one for my husband and me. The rooms either face into a courtyard- where smoking is allowed, or face the street. My daughters room faced the street out front, and my husband and I had a room that faced the courtyard. My daughters and complained of street noise during the night. We requested for them to change rooms, and after a couple of tries, succeeded. We asked to have a room facing the courtyard, and far away from the smoking section. My husband and I kept our room while our daughters moved up a floor to their new room. I didn't like that they were on a different floor, but they people at the front desk told us that it was the closest room.
The breakfast was wonderful. There was a huge selection and it was all pretty good.
I would recommend this hotel, but make sure to ask for a room that faces in, and far away from the smoking area.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the street can/ are noisy and part of the courtyard is smoky so the rooms there can...

Ou 3 night stay at the IQ Hotel was perfect. Its a short walk (3-5 minutes) to the Termini Station. Probably about a 10-15 minute walk to all other sites(Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps). Very convenient. The Vatican requires a bus/taxi. Hotel is close to various bars/restaurants. Bank machine right next door. Hotel is very modern (which we like) and has everything you need but a onsite restaurant However they have a great european style breakfast, in a nice room, or you can sit outside in the Terrace. Probably the best hotel breakfast we had on our trip. The have vending machines for all your needs(especially the first night when we did not have our luggage). They also have a vending machine with wine (short or full bottles of wine), beer, water, other beverages). They also have a coffee/espresso vending machine. There is a very small Lobby Bar, but not well stocked. Room was very clean, decent sized, not big but room enough for two. Bathroom was clean, modern and decent size as well. Shower is your typical European Hotel sized shower, but had 2 shower heads. Along with a bidet, if you so desire. Hairdryer for the folks that care. Also had a safe, empty refrigerator, and good storage. Staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Would we stay here again, Definitely!!

Our group got 6 rooms at IQ Roma hotel and the hotel delivered as advertised. It was in the modern style which I loved as opposed to a lot of hotels in Rome. I liked the accessibility of having vending machines for purchase of certain necessities at decent prices like water, juice, wine. No need to make that grocery run. The all inclusive washing machines are great too (comes with a loading of soap per wash, so no need to buy that either). Staff is efficient and friendly.
Very close to Republicca metro stop too.
