“Easy airport / city access”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2014

Train is non-stop between the airport and city. It cost 14 euro's each, each way (buying a return ticket was not any cheaper). Dont forget to "stamp" the ticket on the platform - its valid for 90mins (journey takes 32mins)

“Just average for the price! Try FR1 from Tiburtina also!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2014

Train is considered express but looks just like and average train ''regionalle''.sometimes overcrowded and too expensive compared to other train routes...you want airport..pay extra :)
Also Termini overcrowded....if you can ...take undergorund line to Tiburtina train station ( recently renewded ) ..less people ...and there is train FR1 every 15 mins to Fiumicino.Indeed has more stops but looks the same as the Leonardo Express and takes you to the airport in around 40 - 50 mins compared to 30 of the Express and costs only 8 Eur.Also Tiburtina is not so crowded and undergrouns stops just under the train station.

“Simple - reasonable transport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2014

A 35 minute journey to the Termini Station from Airport - 14 Euro non stop - very cheap and cheapest for one or two persons maybe consider a shuttle taxi from airport if more than three travelling and cost an issue as there are shuttles that will co Airport to Hotel for under 10 Euro each advertised. - Leonardo Express is fast and comfortable straight to platform 24 and undercover all the way to Metro lines - Machines to purchase tickets extremely user friendly - take cards or cash - read the rules on websites of all train operators as you MUST validate your ticket on the platform prior to travel - all very simple indeed

“Very comfortable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2014

It's a cheap ang comfortable way to get to Rome from the Airport Fiumincino. To find it you have to follow the signes in the airport. The ticket might be bought in Tabacceria (T) once you go out from the place of baggage claim. The price is 14 Euros - one way. The train comes every 30 mints. Dont forget to scan or composte your ticket!

“Convenient and efficient-- but it is public transit in Rome.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

14 Euros per adult....Not the cheapest (Metro/busses) or most expensive (private car or cab) way to get from the airport to the city. Cab (around 45 Euro) can actually be cheaper if there are 3 or 4 of you, and you can avoid a connection at Termini....Runs every 30 minutes, and much faster than any 4 wheeled transportation during peak traffic periods. Trains (and windows) can be covered in graffiti and get very crowded during peak periods, but feel much safer than the Metro. Be aware of your surroundings and keep your belongings in view on ALL trains and in train stations in Rome. Buy your ticket at a vending machine or Tabacchi, (you don't have to find the office) and make sure you get the ticket validated or you can get fined. If you are carrying a heavy bag, look for a seat at the front or back at the car where there are roll-in luggage cubbies--- I'm 5'9", a seasoned traveler, pretty strong, and self sufficient, but hoisting my larger bag up over my head into the luggage rack (a good foot higher than the overhead bins in aircraft) was a bit of a stretch. A friend who lived in Rome recommended purchasing an inexpensive bike cable with lock for use on longer train trips (to lock the bag to the seat or railing) It doesn't prevent theft, but it slows theives down and may cause them to move on to avoid the hassle.
