Medium size business group went here for dinner. The restaurant was nothing special, and average describes the visit best. The wide selection of antipasti being served was probably the highlight of the meal.

“ATTRAPE TOURISTE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I went with some friends and our experience was terrible. At first, the waiter is nice, bringing you some "free" bruschetta and other stuff, quite good by the way.

But then, we ordered calzone which arrived in 2 minutes (???) and was literally floating in my plate. Inside, only mozzarela and a small piece of ham. DISGUSTING. My friends plate was quite the same level.

And the bill : 15% service which was not included (the only restaurant in Roma that did that during our trip), house wine : 20€, really expensive even if it was ok.

Really, my worst experience in Roma.

“Nice Out Of Te Way Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We stopped here for lunch while sightseeing in the area, we'd just visited the church across the plaza(worth a visit). The staff was very friendly and spoke some English. This place was off the main roads and seemed to be more of a neighborhood spot.

We had the antipasti to start, and it was very good. Not cured meats like a lot of places. It had meatballs ( excellent), mozzeralla, roasted peppers, white beans, olives, and zucchini. We then split a margarita pizza. It was also good, but not phenomenal. It made for a nice lunch. We also had some wine that was quite nice. The meal was about 50 euros, pricier than others we had in Rome.

“Terrific place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

We adored this restaurant - it was recommended to us by the At Home Townhouse and it certainly didn't disappoint! They give you a huge amount of complimentary appetisers, all of which were delicious - special mention for the bruschetta. We went for pizzas which were both delicious, and the house wine was very good value. The service was incredibly friendly as well. Definitely recommended!

“Excellent service, food not particularly thrilling”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

This is a nice place to eat if you happen to be in the area but probably not worth going out of your way to try. The waiters are all jolly friendly (but that may have been because we went with friends who are regulars), the service fairly fast and efficient and the food perfectly acceptable. So what's wrong? It just wasn't very exciting, that's all (and I should think it was fairly expensive too, but we were guests so I have no idea how much the bill came to). There are plenty of places in central Rome where the food is far more interesting even without being "innovative" (thank heaven!). Try Da Tonino in Via del Governo Vecchio, for instance. On the good side, the restaurant is fairly quiet and the tables are spaced out enough for you to be able to talk with your fellow diners without having to shout, so it's probably a fairly good, discreet place for, say, a business lunch or dinner.
