“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Truly a fantastic location and room. We had a double room on the corner, overlooking the quiet residential street. Yet we were just a short (4 blocks) from the Vatican and just a block from the metro. Luigi was incredibly helpful--he arranged a private car to pick us up from the airport which was not much more than a taxi and worry free. Also, his family's restaurant, Cucina Abruzzese Pizzeria, was affordable and just 2-3 blocks away. We had scamorza (roasted cheese) with prosciutto and fungi and the best bruschetta ever. Also, great gelato shop (Fatamorgana Gelato) 1 block away.

The wifi always worked well and we would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending to friends.

This guesthouse is definitely of great value. Maria is quite nice and professional, and she introduces the apartment to us when we arrive. The room is super clean, with all the necessary facilities. Free deserts and coffee are also available there. Highly recommend this one to budget travelers. :)

If you are looking for a value for money accommodation across the Tiber river look no further. We loved the room (huge compared to our florentine B&B) but he did say this was his biggest room. Nice sizable bathroom too.

Service - Luigi was really nice and he went the extra mile meeting me to help me contact my airport shuttle (he said it would be better cos he spoke Italian and true enough it was). He also helped me find out the procedure for tax refund without me asking. I would have rated him even higher of he wasn't so busy. He sometimes takes a while to respond cos he is also helping out in his parents restaurant.

Food - across the lane there's a nice little place that serves daily specials like pasta. It's about 10 euro if you dine in but they charges me 6 euro for takeaway. There's also a 10% discount if u dine in his parents restaurant which is within walking distance. There are 2 mini marts close by that you can buy fruit and water although it's a little pricier than the supermarket.

Location - take the subway to Ottavanio. Take the 2nd exit on the right. Walk around 2 blocks and viale seller milizie is on the left. Walk a block and you'll arrive at an apartment with balcony near via otrano.

What can we say about Zero6. First, it was the perfect place to stay. Extremely clean, close to subway stop and Vatican, great wifi and air conditioning. There is also a fridge in your room.
The best part of our experience was Luigi, the owner. He met us the first day, gave us keys, showed us around, printed a pass for u, told us where to see the sights, and then he told us about his restaurant.
We ended up going there three times. The pizza is some of the best in Rome, and coming from New York, it was as good, if not better, than some we've ever had.
The lasagna was phenomenal! Don't miss out.
Luigi's mom also makes it a family experience. She is so friendly and caring. Just an amazing family that we were blessed to stay with for five days.
We are concluding a five week trip that ended in Rome. Luigi made it a wonderful experience for us and the perfect finish of our vacation.
We had privacy, unlimited coffee and cake, a cool room in the heat of July in a very safe part of town.He gave us his cell to call for anything, although we never had to. It really was the perfect stay.
We slept great and it was even perfect for the occasional siesta.
I cannot say enough good things. My wife and I, both 30, loved every second of our stay and when we come back to Rome, we will come here.
You understand why they get the ratings they do, all for a very affordable price.
It really is the closest thing to staying with family.

Room Tip: There is no fitness center or pool.

What can I say. Great location in the Prati district - close to restaurants, close to markets, close to whatever you need. You can walk to St Peter's Basilica in 10 minutes. You can Metro from Ottaviano to the Coliseum in 10 minutes. You can walk to Piazza Navona in 25 minutes. Its quiet at night, rooms are cleaned daily, fresh linen, fresh towels. Good sized rooms, Nespresso coffee at your disposal, brioche/pastries by the basket.

A phenomenal host, Luigi, very helpful and friendly. I'd like to think we have established a friendship going forward as I've extended an invite to him to come to Toronto at his leisure.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, one that I can't recall was on the main street near Ottaviano - family run, great. for a 10 minute walk from the B*B I'd recommend Luigi's Mom's restaurant - traditional Abruzzese cuisine very delicious. Very gracious host as well.

There's a 24 hour pastry shop downstairs on Via Barletta just around the corner from Zero6 that makes awesome Cornetti, etc. for centimes.

If you want to stay right near the Termini station or say near the Pantheon, go for it.

If you want a great place that is quiet at night, relaxing, safe, comfortable, Zero6.

I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Ask for 1 or 2.
