i can't really say anymore than what has already been said in the other reviews. The rooms were very clean and secure. It's a slow 5 minute walk to a hop-on hop-off bus stop and the metro. The central train station is only a 10 minute walk away. Andrea (the owner) arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport (highly recommended) as we were arriving late in the evening and the last thing we wanted to do was search for a hotel in an unknown city with all our bags.

May, the housekeeper's name, was great. she'll keep making cappuccinos for you when eating on the terrace. We loved our breakfasts as they were like those we have at home. Our room had a balcony facing a church (the second church seen in the movie Angels & Demons). Andrea spoke english and was a wealth of information especially when it comes to nearby restaurants.

My wife and I are picky when it comes to safety and cleanliness in hotels. It's a blessing (or curse) of having a mother-in-law who is a head housekeeper at a national hotel. Everything would pass her scrutinizing eyes. We will definitely stay here again.

The Moses Fountain Hotel is sort of hard to find. It doesn't have a lobby, and the entrance is through an otherwise nondescript stucco wall, across the street from the Minstero del Agricultura (tell your cab driver - it's the easiest way to find it). It's very close to the Train Station (but out of sight) and there are other fine hotels in the vicinity.

There is no elevator - this is not a handicapped friendly edifice - but if you can climb a few flights of nicely aged stairs, you'll find yourself in a clean, very fresh and new home/apartment/hotel conversion.

There is no front desk. There are only rooms, and not many of them. Each one looks beautiful, though - very modern, very clean, very spacious - especially for Rome.

The location does not put you directly in the historical downtown area, but it's not a long walk. And the area it's in seems to be more lively with an actual Roman crowd, as opposed to a tourist mass - which I thought was nice. It's very quiet in the rooms, outfitted with powerful air conditioners, and the most recent bathroom fixtures, plus modern/contemporary artistic light fixtures. The rooms have safes and minibars, the contents of which are, nicely, free. (The contents are not as extensive as what you'll find in a pay mini-bar, so bring your own booze if you must have some, but it's still a nice touch).

There is a lovely outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs on a mid-level terrace, surrounded by jasmine blossoms, so it smells great.

There are several superior touches, as well. The soaps they provide are excellent, and I had a free upgrade (not sure why!) to a room that had an enormous, fully tiled circular shower/steambath with a sliver of a window bringing in light from high over the street.

I also stayed at a hotel right on the Piazza Rotundo (right on top of the pantheon) and that sort of location is unbelievable, to be sure. The accommodations, though, were far superior at The Moses Fountain, and the Moses Fountain was much less expensive.

They're brand new, eager to please, and definitely worth a stay. Give 'em a shot if you want a different sort of hotel experience. One where it's more like your own apartment in Rome, with daily cleaning service :)

Oh, and wireless internet was free. A huge deal for me, given the prices some places charge!

The hotel is only seven rooms but is very cozy and is in an excellent location around the corner from The Grand Hotel next to Republic Piazza. You are literally five minutes walk to the train station which I recommend using from the airport. The owner Andrea Gnecco is hands on and will map out your whole Rome experience down to museums and restaurants. There is no hustle just good straight forward information that separates the wheat from the chaff. What to do and visit in Rome can be overwhelming Andrea will make it easy. The rooms are brand new and clean and deserve their 4-star designation. There is no bar or restaurant but with the multitude of both within walking distance- it doesn't matter. I highly recommend MOSES FOUNTAIN.

After a long trip over France and Italy, our last stop was Rome and the Moses Fountain. We definitely saved the best for last. It is brand new, completely modern and very comfortable. We loved the bathroom most of all! Breakfast was very good and the owners and staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed and relaxed. The location is very good. It is at the corner of Via Settembre and Santa Susanna, right next to the St. Regis. We were able to buy hop on-hopoff bus tickets to get around, and it was also very close to the metro. They could easily charge double what we paid for the night. If it happens to be booked check with their other property Hotel Richmond, I bet the quality is just as good.

We stayed in Rome for 1 week, thanks to Andrea and Emanuela this was unforgettable. The rooms are very nice, modern, clean and cozy. We slept very well on the good beds. The bathroom is also very nice. We got every morning a very good breakfast in the room. The location is near the subway and trainstation.
