“Great location, good value for a city centre hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

Just back from Rome this weekend and stayed at Guistinanio. Great location about 10 minutes from the Vatican and 15 minute walk to Piazza Navona and the sights on the other side of the river. Try to get a high floor room as they have the best views, we paid €20 for an upgrade and it was well worth it, huge room with 2 dressing areas and a separate sofa/ tv room and a wonderful big balcony. The sofa is a sofa bed so these rooms would suit a family. Nice clean room and great bathroom. Good quality breakfast with lots of choice. I'd stay here agin if we ever go back to Rome. Free wifi was appreciated.

Room Tip: High floor, upgraded rooms have the best views.

Booked this based on the reviews and glad we did. Modern, friendly helpful staff, good location, and paying the 20 euros upgrade per night gave us a great room on the 7th floor with 2 double doors leading out to the huge terrace and views of the Vatican. Even a coffee machine in the room too. Breakfast was superb, a vast array of pastries, hot and cold, a kids selection too, thought of everything. The only slight irritation was the speed of the free wifi, it was very slow, emails fine, everything else hard work. But given how good everything else was, they are forgiven. Easy walk from the Metro, easy walk across the river 5 mins away, easy choice to come here again. Great!

Snagged a GREAT deal on a "last-minute" type website for a room and breakfast. Very polite check in staff. Large business type hotel with a nice restaurant (only had breakfast). The room was very big for European standards. Didn't have a great view but the hotel offered an upgrade with a view and a sofa for an small extra cost (we weren't interested). Large king (american king) bed with comfy pillows. The windows had roll down "shutters" outside to keep out the light and the noise. Central air/heating. Big bathroom with a full tub, toilet and bidet. Plenty of free little sundries (sponge, brush, razor, soap, lotion, shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, etc). Internet was free, but slow (not unexpected).
Breakfast was a large spread of mostly cold foods including many types of croissants, breads, little sandwiches, yogurt with toppings, plenty of juice choices. There was also a table with sliced meats, eggs, bacon and sausages.
Location was great, 10 minute walk to the Vatican. And close access to the metro for a trip down to "old Rome" (Colosseum etc.). Safe feeling neighborhood with plenty of nice restaurants near by.
All in all a good choice for both business or pleasure.

Room Tip: May be worth paying the few extra euro a night for a room higher up or with a view (didn't perso...

We as a family group (all over 25) stayed for 4 nights with three rooms. Great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast could not have been better. The hotel also arranged our collection and return to the airport. Made a memorable stay in Rome for the Italy v England rugby match even more enjoyable. Rooms were spacious and the staff arranged for a kettle to be provided when asked as no tea or coffee facilities were available in room. Staff also recommended excellent local restaurants frequented by locals. Would recommend and will hopefully return. Situated in a quiet location so all rooms quiet

very friendly staff, very good location, excellent breakfast, great room, free wifi
the hotel is in a very good location, 500 m from Vatican City, 500 m from the old city of room. From the hotel you can visit Rome by foot.
The room was great, two Tv, a large bathroom, an excellent bed.
The breakfast was a great buffet with lots of food and drinks.
If you come to Rome be sure to book this hotel. I will do it again

This is a great hotel with well furnished rooms and easy access to the whole of Rome's main attraction by foot (max 30 minutes gentle walk to Forum but Vatican etc far closer). I have to say the buffet breakfast was probably one of the most expansive I have ever seen, it was all very tasty and the presentation is definitely the best I have ever seen. Would I return, certainly.
