“Good food, however food took a while”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

This was close to our hotel and the reviews looked good. I had the lobster pasta - was tasty but the lobster didn't have a lot of meat. The service however was average. The food took very long to arrive and a couple next to us were complaining of the service which made our dining experience rather unpleasant. Overall food was good, however the time for the food to be served needs to be greatly improved.

“Solid Food but Not Well-Managed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

The food was worthy of eating but--and this may have just been our misfortune to be there on a bad night--the service was painfully slow, with no explanation or apologies offered. While our waiter was perfectly pleasant, he never attempted to offer an explanation for why it was taking close to 30 minutes between courses. Several other tables walked out and the only reason we stayed is that we were having a nice conversation with the Australian couple at the next table. All restaurants can have an off night but the fact that there was no real attempt to compensate or even explain makes me issue this caveat. The food was not unique enough to overcome the liability.

“First night was good - the next dissappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Four of us ate here as a birthday treat. We decided to celebrate by starting with a bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne. They didn't have any but did have Veuve Clicquot which was fine. The young waiter attempted to pour into large wine glasses. We stopped him and requested Champagne flutes. These were brought and the waiter then proceeded to pour the champagne into the wine glass again!!!. We stopped him after he had poured about a quarter of a glass - he then half filled our 4 flutes, emptied some of the wine glass contents into one of the flutes and took away the rest that was in the glass. At 80 euros a bottle about 3-4 euros worth. The service, food and wine for the rest of the evening was superb so we decided to go back for the next evening. Once again we sat outside. Firstly we ordered a bottle of Champagne (this was our last night and we thought "When in Rome"). We thought it would be a nice finale and an appropriate aperitif. After 15 minutes nothing had arrived - we were told it wouldn't be long. The waiter tried to take our food order but we explained we wanted to start our evening with the Champagne. It appeared they didn't have any in stock and had to send out for it. We needed to order our food. Champagne arrived but they then had to cool it down. So by the time it arrived at our table it was only semi cool. We ended up drinking it with our meal which wasn't the idea. We also had a bottle of wine. Food was nice but the dining experience wasn't great.

“good food and wine - typical service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

After reading the reviews on tripadvisor we went to this restaurant as it was close to the hotel. It was very busy when we arrived so we were shown to table inside. Typical Italian service very attentive at the start but waned as the night wore on - no problem as we were enjoying the atmosphere and wine. The food was lovely and not expensive. Overall for 3 courses with wine and coffees it was very reasonably priced at 65 euros for two.

“Restaurant was not as many have claimed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

We came here for one of our nights during our stay in Italy, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to enjoy their dinner. Firstly their food is frozen and heated namely their shrimp and smoked salmon, quite possibly they're swordfish too as my relative was suspecting that. But anyhow our total included charges for tap water and their spaghetti sticks and month old bread that they bring you when we never asked for it, which brought our grand total to an even greater amount. Do not eat here it was disgusting and actually gave me digestion problems for days after.
