We found Miles&Miles on TripAdvisor. We never had a private tour but this company went over the top. Our Tour Escort Daniele was charming, imformative, professional and fun all at the same time. We were in Rome just for 1 day with our ship and the sites we were able to go through in such a limited time was amazing! No waiting for the Vatican, No waiting for the Colosseum and a taste of real roman life, exploring with him little markets and places where normal tourist will never be able to visit. Daniele was born and raised in Rome and we think, that made the difference.

Our group of five toured Florence and Rome with Miles & Miles in October. When we were first planning the shore excursions for our cruise, we saw some reviews of Miles & Miles on TripAdvisor. With one day in Florence and one day in Rome, our goal was to see the major sights in these cities. We found Miles & Miles to be an excellent choice. Our tour guide for Florence and Pisa, Rena, picked us up right at the dock. During our drive to Florence, she reviewed the sights that we would be seeing. We thought that this was an excellent way to start the day to ensure that our expectations were met. High on our list was to see the Michelangelo’s David statue in the Accademia. Miles & Miles made reservations for us and we were able to get into the museum without a wait. This turned out to be the highlight of our day in Florence. Without the reservations, we doubted that we would have gotten into the Accademia due to the long line. In the afternoon, Reena took us for the best gelato of our trip! After Florence, we visited Pisa and were back to the ship exactly at the time we planned. Our day in Rome with Roberto was equally fantastic. His passion for history is very evident and we were very impressed with his commentary on the sights. We were amazed at how much we were able to see in one day: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s. Roberto’s wife, Karen, was our tour guide in the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s. She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to cover the highlights in the two hours that we had for this piece of the tour. All-in-all, Miles & Miles met every expectation that we had for our two days. As a company, Miles & Miles is proficient, knowledgeable, and reliable. The tour guides go above and beyond to ensure that their clients are satisfied with their tours and come away with great experiences and lasting memories from their time in Italy.

We were met by our guide Francesco in Rome just after confirming all by email which was very conveneint and easy. He was waiting for us with patience when we arrived after a long wait through customs. He gave us a Roman's view of Rome which included a personalized guided tour of the Colluseum, Pantheon, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and many other sites (some sites not on the average tour of Rome!). We also stopped for the best espresso and pizza in Rome. Our time was limited as we had to be driven to Civitavecchia to our ship but Francesco managed to fit it all in. We will definately go back to Rome and stay a bit longer to see what we may have missed and again hire M & M. Our Naples experience begain at the port promptly at 8 am, Pompeii was our first stop where we were met by another personal guide Antonio who showed us areas that were closed off to tourists. Our guide was born in Pompeii and his knowledge of the area was excellent. Pompeii is a must see! What an incredible place. We then got a personalized car tour along the Amalfi Coast to Sorrento and Positano where we got to stop for lunch at an awesome restaurant Pizzeria Aurora for pizza, ravioli, caprese salad with fresh mozzerella and antipasti to die for. You should know that the tour we took was meant for 6 people and it was only the two of us so the we bore the entire cost of the tour (450 E for Rome and 600 E for Naples) but the money spent was well worth the private tour. When ever we asked a question, it was answered and wherever we wanted to go, we were taken. Thank you Miles and Miles for showing us a Rome and Naples that we outherwise would never have seen.

I booked a private tour of Rome for four of us based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. We could not have been more pleased. There isn't a single negative I can come up with.
We booked a five hour tour so we could see some of the highlights of Rome. As it turned out, I believe this was the best use of our very limited time in Rome.
Our tour was on October 1st from 1 to 6 PM. This was the day after we arrived in Rome and it allowed us to get some rest and recover from the 10 hours of flying. This seemed to work very well for us.
As for the tour itself, our driver/guide, Daniel was at our hotel 15 minutes early, waiting for us in the lobby when we came down from our rooms. He had the tour already planned based on a list of sites we wanted to see that I had emailed Miles & Miles before our trip. He also gave up a choice to see some of his own favorite places sites, which turned out to be a nice plus. Daniel was very knowledgeable and friendly. We not only saw a lot of Rome, but learned a lot too.
Daniel picked us up in an air-conditioned Mercedes van. His driving was very good, making feel safe in the crazy traffic of Rome. He also knew how to avoid much of the heavy traffic of Rome saving us time, allowing us to see more. It was also very nice not to have to per-pay for the tour. We paid the agreed upon price in cash at the end of the tour.
All of my interaction with Miles & Miles before the tour was via email. Setting up a tour in another country made me a little nervous, but I can honestly say it just could not have gone better. Next time in Italy, we would definitely use the services of Mile & Miles again
