Three generations stayed for 6 nights at the Domus Inn and had a very good time. We were very happy for the airconditioned, quite, 3-bed room and looking forward to our breakfast in the room every day. The staff was very friendly - they made enquieries for us about opening hours and booked tickets for the Galleria Borghese for us, which is just a few minuits away, but has to be booked in advance.
Public transport is just around the corner and there is a markethall with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables just down the road.
We had an unforgettable stay - have already recommended it to others!

at first you will be surprised that the hotel does not look like a hotel from outside. it is on the fourth floor of a normal building with private flats.
however, when you get to the fourth floor, you will see a "normal" reception desk and very friendly atmosphere. during our stay we met three receptionists, all of them very friendly and helpful (even told us what they think we should see and how to get there). the location of the hotel isn't great, but there are bus stops just round the corner.
we booked at hrs, however the hotel offered us a bigger room with jacuzzi bath for just 7 euro more, which we took. the room was quite big, very tidy. airconditioning worked perfectly, jacuzzi too. there was a fridge as well as a small tv.
the breakfast was included and served to the room free of charge at a time of our choice (until noon, which was great as we are long-sleepers). as for italy it was ok, some bread and butter, jam, honey, juice, tea/coffee.
as our plane back was in the evening, they offered to store our luggage for the day. and when we came back to collect it, they even gave us two bottles of nicely cold water free of charge.
to sum up, during our stay in rome we spend a night at the inter-continental and a night at domus, and we would chose domus for the next stay.

I visited Rome in July of 2009 and stayed at the Domus inn for 3 nights with my family (2 adults and 2 kids. We made our reservation using Europendestinations.com (great deal) & were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and great service of the staff. The room was quite spacious (by Rome Standards) and the bathroom clean. The room had a nice balcony that allowed for early morning gaze for my wife. I will definitely recomment this place to my friends.

We stayed at the Domus Inn for 2 nights in June. When we were checking in the hotel offered us deluxe rooms for an extra 5 euros and we took it.. the rooms were really nice, with small balconies overlooking the street.. the staff was really helpful.. the hotel is tiny with just about 12 rooms, but the service was good.. breakfast was decent and served at the time you want it to be served in your room.. there was a bus stop just 2 min away from the hotel and the bus is the best way of public transport in this city.. which was very convenient.. the guy at the reception helped us with the bus numbers, telling us which one to take from which stop to reach our destinations and explained it to us on the map.overall enjoyed our stay at the hotel.. and i simply loved the city.. a must visit! would recommend this hotel to anyone.. the rooms and bathrooms are good, no restaurant and all but then we would just eat out before reaching back since we were out all day anyway so it didnt make any difference to us... had great fun and enjoyed our stay here..

My girlfriend and I went to Rome in March for a break away and had a perfect few days there. This was because of the city itself, the people, and this this lovely hotel and it's staff. Upon arrival we were greeted by Franco (the hotel manager) who we found to be so so helpful and considerate to our needs and requests. The hotel itself is located on the 4th floor of what appears to be a business block.

The rooms are very clean and very well presented and maintained. The staff are very help at all times and will go above and beyond in order to help. Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning at your requested time. The rooms themselves are very clean with nice wooden floors. There is a safe and storage area provided. The bathrooms are a good size and well supplied.

There is a bar across from the hotel which is nice for a drink. There are plenty of good quality restaurants which are only a stones throw away. The hotel is a 15min walk from the Spanish steps and maybe 30min from the Colosseum for the active. There's also a good bus system located outside the hotel which runs throughout the city.

Overall I would rate this hotel very highly for a break away.
