“True artisan ice cream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Rome has plenty of gelato shops. Their is a gelato shop in every corner like London has pubs. But if you want to taste something seriously inspired then you really need to visit this place. It shouldn't be too out of the way since it's short walk from Piazza Navona and Pantheon.

The selection is well thought out and they only use the best produce to make their gelato. The service is also enthusiastic and infectious. They don't hurry you up when you're selecting and trust me it is hard to choose.

Flavours I had were - Puro (70% dark chocolate), white chocolate and basil, and the sensational pistachio. The pistachio gelato is not coloured green (no food coloring here) but you can see real crushed pistachio and it is like eating pistachio but cold. Really good.

Only regret I have is that we didn't have time for a second visit. Don't make the same mistake as me. Seek this place out as soon as you can since you'll definitely want a second visit or maybe three.

“Tasty :-)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

I reviewed this Gelateria in Trip Advisor, and when felt like "ice-cream time" I went searching for it. At the same minute it started raining, so it was difficult to find it. the place is hidden but when you find it - it is the best!
The overall look is a bit disappointing and I thought maybe the advise wasn't so good, but the ice cream was so tasty, simple and good, exactly what I wanted. when the owner saw I was staring at the chocolate machine there, he was kind enough to bring me extra chocolate cream even though I didn't ask for it. nice gesture. left with a big smile.....

“best pistachio ice cream ever...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

...and the other sorts are just the same! (come back to pistachio, nutty and sweet, you taste the nut, good consistence, nice colour, perfect!)
Worth a visit and a try! Fantastic and near the hotspots but in a quiet and nice roman street. Roma at its best!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

All four members of our family liked it so much we returned repeatedly - even twice a day since the gelato is so light and refreshing. Take the time to get out of the main tourist areas and find this exceptional gelateria.

“So good I kept going back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Despite liking to try out different places, I revisited this gelateria on the strength of the first visit. They've not got the biggest selection but it's certainly big enough (about 20-30) and you can see them making the gelato in an adjoining kitchen. The ingredients are all fresh and the flavours are exciting and delicious - trifle, Sicilian cake, rosemary, lemon and honey, ricotta, almond and fig etc. I'd happily keep going back to try everything but I just didn't have enough time!
