We stayed at the Dem Guesthouse, booking our accomodation a couple of weeks before our arrival - the the night of the Champions League finalwhere most accomodation has already been booked out.

The guys here are modest, friendly and didnt inflat the room prices due to the influx of tourists coming into Rome to watch/support the Champions league, as most other places did.

The rooms are clean and the place has a separate area for stove top cooking including a mini oven and expresso machine. All rooms have a bar fridge and again, the cost of drinks purchased from this place are not as expensive as on the street.

My only dissatisfaction were (1) the squeeky doors and the unsecured toilet seat and (2) other guests banging doors when they left early in the morning. Aside from this, a very pleasant stay in a very convienient location.

Dem Guesthouse was a an excellent place to stay. It is in an ideal location (steps away from Termini station). It is furnished very well, it is very clean, beautiful hardwood floors, an amazing place to stay. The owners are extremely friendly - they personally greet each visitor no matter what time they arrive. On their days off they provide their personal phone numbers if you need to reach them. They give you your own set of keys so that you can come and go as you please. All in all, a fantastic place to stay, and would highly recomend it to anyone visiting Rome. In fact, have already raved about it to all our friends. Great value, great place to live - a 5 star hotel with a 1 star price.

i had been at the dem guesthouse last week ,i can just hihgly reccomedn this place!
wonderful big size room with all the modern comfort ,satellite tv air conditioning ,sound proofed windows,min bar (cheap price) kettle ,wi.fi free connection...
the breakfast served in the room is a great idea ,you can have it wheneever you want ..and it is very very ample... you won't succed to eat everything!
the host are two very nice guys...great knowledge of Rome and spoken english!
moreover it was good value compare to other accommodation site in Rome!
i would definitely come back here !

Our interaction with Devid - the owner of the Dem House started when we were still in London . Devid sent us very clear and helpful directions to his guest house, even giving tips on how to find cost effective transportation to his place. So it all started really pleasurably.

But it was only the beginning!

On our arrival we were sweetly surprised by finding a pair of really tasty Italian cookies and a map to help us navigating Rome in our room, which was cool and refreshing - thanks for perfectly aligned air conditioning system in the room!

The room itself was very clean, big and modern. Housekeeper was coming in every day to clean our room and make the bed - very professional service and fresh white towels also made us feel like we were in 5 star hotel. Or even better - no rushing people all around you, and cozy, home like atmosphere. LCD TV, remote controlled air conditioning system, iron, safe and fridge were very handy as well.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the host were so pleasing - we felt like we visited old friends in Italy . We even received 'good bye' note from the owner on our last day - because he knew that he will not be present at the time of our check- out. Personal touch and attention was so pleasing...

I have told all my friends about extremely excellent service we have received at Dem Guesthouse and in addition to that it was good value for money - so package you can't afford to loose. Thank you very very much for making our stay so fantastic and hopefully see you sometime soon at our lovely guesthouse. We simply fell in love with Rome ... so we certainly will be back!
