We spent five nights at the Domus Cavour, and it was a great place to stay. I must start with Cristiano, who proved to be a wonderful and charming host. The breakfast that he provides is of high quality and ample quantity, and listening to him sing in the kitchen while he prepared things was a nice way to start the day. He even has real "American" drip coffee, for those who prefer that (I stuck with the cappuccino, and was quite pleased!) Cristiano also gave us great advice for local pizza and gelato. The neighborhood (Prati) is close to The Vatican, as well as the other sites across the river. If you don't feel like walking, there are bus stops right outside the front door, or a Metro stop about a 10 minute walk away. It is not as touristy as areas in the Centro Storico (no souvenir stands on every corner, or people hawking little toys or flowers) which we found to be a definite plus.
The room itself was very clean, cozy, the beds comfortable, and the area was quiet enough at night to sleep with the window open. Cristiano does take the upkeep of his B&B very seriously, which is apparent by the excellent condition it is in. The decor of the B&B is also pleasing, with, among other things, nice floral touches in the breakfast room.
As Cristiano said to us as we left, we will definitely see him again if ever we return to Rome, for we will stay again with him.
