This hotel was just perfect for what we were after. We stayed for three nights so knew we would barely be using it especially since it was our first time in Rome with there being so much to see so we didn't want to spend a fortune. It was such good value and the room was more than adequate. The showers were great, cleanliness even better and the staff were lovely and very helpful. It was approximately five minutes to the Trevi fountain and a little longer to the Spanish steps so perfectly located. The only downside that some might see was that there are was no breakfast but to be honest with all those cafes and beautiful places to sit outdoors who would want to be cooped up in a hotel! We tried somewhere different every morning or just grabbed some pastries and sat by a fountain or on the Spanish steps people watching. Truly a great experience.

La Piccola is located literally 1 min away from the Barberini metro stop which is on Via Veneto or "La Dolce Vita" area. Given that most of the hotels in area go for over 300 euros easily, La Piccola Maison is an affordable stay in a fabulous location. You are easily a 5-10 min walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and centrally located to many other sites.

You are usually greeted by Giorgio upon arrival who gives you all the local tips of where to eat and sites to see. Giorgio really makes you feel at home and you can tell that he genuinely cares about the people that stay in his hotel. It's great to have this kind of personal service which is nonexistent these days from the big chained hotels.

The room is very trendy, minimalist decor and comfortable bed. Each room has air conditioning which is needed in Rome during the summers. The shower is one of the best showers I've had in Europe as the water pressure is excellent. There is a flat screen TV but only has shows in Italian...but why would you be in the room to watch TV? There is also a little fridge for you to store drinks, etc. The room is a bit noisy as you are off of Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini but this is very typical of any big city. Invest in some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Be advised that the hotel is not a traditional hotel. La Piccola only has 5 rooms and does not have someone available 24 hours a day on site. They do not have room service/food and they do not have a gym. What they do offer is staff that care about your stay in Rome (someone is there from 9am-6pm daily) and who is available by phone at anytime to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. Also included in your stay is free WIFI and free local phone calls.

Do yourself a favor and stay here!

We loved our stay at the La Piccola Maison and would definately stay there again. It was very accessable to many of the sites by walking and only a few hundred meters from the metro stop. Upon arrival Giorgio helped us get settled and showed us a map of all the sites.

This was our first time to Rome and La Piccola was definately the best place we could have stayed in. Clean, modern, perfect location and friendly staff everything you need to have an enjoyable stay in Rome. Down the road from the Spanish Steps and 10 minutes from the Trevi Fountain. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here, we even had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival, highly recommend for couples old to young.

The location is perfect: so central steps away from Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini and so close to Piazza di Spagna and the Fontana di Trevi.
The rooms and baths are very nice, modern and tastefully furnished. The rooms have LCD TV, Wi-Fi and a mini refrigerator.
If you are looking for a hotel with lots of amenities this is not for you! But if you want a modern, elegant and welcoming room in the heart of Rome with an unbeatable price there is nothing better! There is no “24 hours” reception desk but the staff is always available and always ready to help.
We spent 8 days in Rome, they were extremely pleasant, there are no doubts that our next visit to Rome we will spend it again at the Piccola Maison. 10 out of 10!
