La Piccola is located literally 1 min away from the Barberini metro stop which is on Via Veneto or "La Dolce Vita" area. Given that most of the hotels in area go for over 300 euros easily, La Piccola Maison is an affordable stay in a fabulous location. You are easily a 5-10 min walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and centrally located to many other sites.
You are usually greeted by Giorgio upon arrival who gives you all the local tips of where to eat and sites to see. Giorgio really makes you feel at home and you can tell that he genuinely cares about the people that stay in his hotel. It's great to have this kind of personal service which is nonexistent these days from the big chained hotels.
The room is very trendy, minimalist decor and comfortable bed. Each room has air conditioning which is needed in Rome during the summers. The shower is one of the best showers I've had in Europe as the water pressure is excellent. There is a flat screen TV but only has shows in Italian...but why would you be in the room to watch TV? There is also a little fridge for you to store drinks, etc. The room is a bit noisy as you are off of Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini but this is very typical of any big city. Invest in some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
Be advised that the hotel is not a traditional hotel. La Piccola only has 5 rooms and does not have someone available 24 hours a day on site. They do not have room service/food and they do not have a gym. What they do offer is staff that care about your stay in Rome (someone is there from 9am-6pm daily) and who is available by phone at anytime to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. Also included in your stay is free WIFI and free local phone calls.
