Definitely not a real hotel. As an earlier reviewer put it, this so-called hotel is just 7 rooms on the third floor of a large building on the Piazza Flaminio. Other than the rooms and a reception that was never manned (we spent two nights and other than the first when we were received and asked to pay all in advance there was never anyone on duty at the desk in spite of the fact that the one housekeeper told us that a certain "Christian" would be in at around 10). We also used the car service from the airport which is advertised on the hotel's web page for Euro 40 which in an email we were informed is Euro 55 and then later, the day before our flight to Rome, we were told that it would be Euro 65 because we were four. I was able to argue with the staff by email that the price should be 40 and that I would only pay the 55 which in the end was conceded, but I was told that Euro 40 from the web site was for a convential taxi. I cut and pasted the information from their own web page saying that it was a private limousine with a driver who would meet you with a sign with your name for Euro 40. No response. But enough about transportation. The actual rooms were not bad considering the price and location - Rome. And actually the location is quite good as well, but the lack of service and of a manned reception desk is not good and they are certain details lacking in the rooms that would make them more habitable, e.g., shower curtain and a real desk chair. There is a cable internet connection provided free of charge, but the little ottoman like stool that is provided to be the desk chair is very inconvenient and unconfortable. I actually made the trip with my parents who are in their seventies and I would not recommend this hotel for older folks, unless they are accompanied. The building is enormous and you have to make it through three different locks and a tiny elevator to get to your room. Also I was led to beleive through my email correspondence with the "hotel" that they could help to arrange sight-seeing tours of Rome, which I wouldn't normally do, but in consideration of my parents I thought it wise. However, since there is NEVER anyone at the reception during the day other than perhaps the housekeeper and I did try to phone the number that is displayed at the reception, but no one answered after two attempts. Finally there is the "breakfast". Continental breakfast consisting of coffee or tea and a croissant is okay, but not when you have to go down to the street ,exit the building, go around the corner to a bar that is able to handle up to 3 adults confortably - standing. No tables, no terrace, no chairs, nada. Emmanuele actually makes a good capuccino and has a variety of rolls and croissants from which you can choose one and I don't have anything against his fine establishment, but the "hotel" should not decieve would-be guests into beieving that they will receive a "normal hotel" breakfast in a hotel dining room. Of course they don't actually say that you will get a "normal hotel" breakfast served at a table with chairs in a breakfast room, but they certainly don't let you know that you will be squeezing into Emannuele's coffee bar. In conclusion the rooms aren't bad and are furninshing, bed etc. are modern, the rooms are only 2-3 months old. I only advise "caveat emptor". For the price Euro 125/night, even in Rome, you should get more.
