One of the best stays ever in Rome. Staff is friendly, rooms seem brand new and remodeled, clean and luxurious and quiet. Breakfast is delivered every morning to the room and one could almost order anything! As for the location, the best: 100ft from one of the most beautiful plazas of the historic city, right in the center of downtown. Safe and connected. Reccomended for all, family and business travellers.

Normally I find it difficult to book a decent hotel in Rome where I am not ripped-off for a standard room. But after staying at Imperium Suite Navona, I have found a most recommendable place to stay.

The hotel is perfectly located in the “old part” of Rome between Piazza Navona and Pantheon. It’s not your typical hotel as the “hotel” only has 5 rooms and in fact is an old renovated apartment. The room we had, a ‘Superior room’ with a king size bed, also contained a small wardrobe and a nice bathroom with Jacuzzi. Being an apartment, more than a hotel, you have the sound of people coming and leaving, just outside your room. However this was not a big problem for us. Also there is no big breakfast buffet (there is no restaurant) instead breakfast is served in your room at what time you choose.

Based on reviews here on Tripadvisor we were warned that the hotel could be difficult to find, therefore I had printed a map from the website – without this, I think we would still be searching. The hotel is located in a very narrow street, which the taxi driver could not drive into, and the building bears no sign whatsoever that indicates a hotel. Only a green door with an intercom. When the door opens you walk into a dark passage and need to find your way up to the first floor.

The staff in the reception was very friendly and helped us with maps of the city and recommendations. We only paid 85 EUR’s pr. night which I find is a barging in Rome for a decent room, but one also has to accept that it’s not a typical hotel. Personally we needed a clean, quiet room close to the major sights, and had no need for all the amenities you normally see at a big hotel. For this purpose, Imperium Suite Navona was simply excellent...

We have just returned from an excellent weekend in Rome. The location of the accomodation is very good and for the price you pay would say this was very good value for money. It takes 2 mins and you are at piazza navona! As we used the taxi service through them we had no issue finding the accomodation, if hadnt taken this believe it would have been a challenge to find accomodation (in the dark). Rooms are clean and breakfast is served to your room (rolls/meats/pastries/tea/juice) which sets you up for the day. We thought the staff were friendly.

The reception is in the hall and this is presumably so they can utilise as much of the floor for rooms.

The negatives are - the buzzer (i.e. if in bed will hear this for guests coming in later (as no key for front door), someone in hall all the time (24x7) and walls not that thick.

But this was probably it from downsides..so on the whole would say accomodation was good, clean, secure & warm.

If these negatives purt you off then book elsewhere otherwise go for it.

AWFUL

Awful 'hotel'. We arrived to find a very sleazy italian man on the second floor of a building. He guided us to the 'reception' which consisted of a very small table in the middle of the corridor and proceeded to show us to our room. There is only 6rooms!

Everyone can hear everything. When inside our room no further than 2metres from 'reception', we could hear EVERYTHING. We asked for the room furthest down the corridor approximately 10metres from 'reception'....although the room was clean we were asked to turn tv down, because the staff ~(one sleazy italian man) could hear it at reception...

In addition our room had an adjoining paper thin door to another one of the 6rooms. truly awful!!
Breakfast is served in room cause there is no-where else to sit or eat.
Staff (only one on at any one stage) are very dodgy.

There are NO facilities in this 'hotel' / 6 roomed second floor apartment that is under serious misadvertisement.

Do NOT stay in this hotel.

Also do NOT even think of staying in the luxury suite!! We had booked this but didnt even get to stay in the room.

BAD BAD BAD HOTEL

This hotel is in one of the best areas in rome, for a base in the centre of the city it cannot be bettered.for price i would say its very good value.

The hotel has been recently refurbished(maybe not to the highest standards)but was clean and the bed was excellent.we dont spend much time at the hotel so we were very happy with the satff, breakfast etc.

if you want to stay in a great location for a very good price in a decent hotel this is the on.if you want a hotel with great grandur then stay somewhere else and pay twice as much.
