With only 4 rooms, Roman Residence is a cosy little B&B on Via Cavour, 3 mins walk from Termini (away from the seedier parts of the Termini area). Massimo and his friend Stefano were excellent hosts - extremely friendly, helpful and obliging.

Rooms are brand new, extremely clean and very comfortable (of a good size). Walls are, however, quite thin so you might hear your more boisterous neighbours in their rooms in the silence of the night.

Breakfast was a pleasant experience as well, with a voucher buying you a great brekkie at the cafe a block down the street.

We returned from our visit in Rome a week ago. Rome is a beautiful city with so many ancient buildings and monuments. Roman Residence is near the Colosseo (10 min walk) and is located in a very safe area with easy access to Termini station from where you can take the metro to any areas that you want to visit.
The hotel consists of 4 apartments which do not face the street and are therefore very quiet. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean and tidy and clean towels were provided every day. The size of the room was more than decent and it was all we needed after a long day's walk and sightseeing. Bottles of water were provided to us every day. Vouchers were given to us for our breakfast which was held at a small traditional cafe nearby which had the best capuccino and cornetti (pastries) and where the staff was very friendly. Massimo was an excellent host and did everything possible to make our stay great. He recommended restaurants to eat, places to visit and helped us with any problems we had. We hope we can repay his hospitality if he ever decides to visit Cyprus. Regards also to Stefano who loves Cyprus! Hope to see you all again.

My husband and I stayed at the Roman Residence for 3 nights before embarking on a cruise. We were referred there by the proprietors of the Nicholas Inn. We had a wonderful stay there!

Our flight arrived at Fiumicino Airport at 8:30, and we arrived at the Roman Residence at 10:00, well before the check in time. Massimo gave us a breakfast voucher and we spent an hour having breakfast at the Orologio Bar down the street until the room was ready. It was wonderful to be able to check in early and have a catnap to recover from the long flight from LA!

The hotel (which consists of 4 rooms in a building that holds 6 similar small hotels) is one year old, and everything still looks brand new. The rooms are spacious by European standards, and have all of the modern conveniences except for telephones, which we didn't miss at all. The free Wifi was great - I could call home on Skype and have little or no charge for doing so.

Massimo and Stefano were most hospitable - they always took the time to chat with us, made great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing and made us feel completely welcome.

Breakfast was at the Orologio Bar, located right down the street. They stuffed us every morning with crossaints, panini, freshly squeezed juice and our choice of coffee beverage. It was not possible to say no to them.

Roman Residence is located 2 blocks from Termini Station, so is very conveniently located for the train and Metro systems. The neighborhood has lots of shops and restaurants, and we felt perfectly safe being out late at night (midnight being my idea of "late"). Although Via Cavour is a busy street the rooms face a courtyard and are very quiet.

We are hoping to return to Roman Residence again!

This is a great hotel, just 5 minutes walking distance from the termini station. Owned and run by a young man and his wife this hotel is situated in a large building which houses other hotels as well. Spotlessly clean and modern, the rooms are value for money at Euro 150/night for triple. The breakfast , usually served in a nearby caffe, is plenty and good. The owner a very friendly young man, is always ready to help, with his good suggestions and advise, besides he can speak English well. All tourist attractions are within walking distance or a short Metro ride, which starts almost at the doorsteps. Atthough situated on a busy street, there is almost no external noise within the rooms. Highly recommended.

This is a great value to stay in Rome in B+B close to termini station. Rooms have all amenities, hot shower, clean bathrooms, bed, tv, internet, a/c, and nice interiors and quiet. The sell for this place is the staff. Owner Massimo is a true gentleman who will help to make your stay comfortable and help with getting around Rome. Would stay again.
