Hidden away, in a little street just off Piazza Di Spagna is this little treasure of a hotel. The entrance is shared with other apartments, so you may find it a little hard to find, but that's half the fun of this place... it makes you feel like you live in Rome, well for 3 days anyway.

Location wise, I think you'll find it hard to find a better hotel. Uber central for all the main sights and restaurants in Rome. Walk out of your door and go into the next street and your looking up to the Spanish Steps! We pretty much walked everywhere, only using the metro twice, once to the Vatican and the other coming back from the Coliseum.

The rooms are equally as good, we had the Condotti room, there are only 5 in the hotel. Clean, a comfy bed, very tastefully decorated and a great bathroom. Plus a shared little kitchen (although we hardly saw anyone else) with a fully stocked fridge of soft drinks and some beers, and a coffee machine for that must have morning espresso! Crossing Condotti doesn't have a restaurant or room service, but why would you want to pay extra for that? Your in Rome, home to the some of the most amazing food you can find.

Also worth a mention is the staff at Crossing, very friendly and very useful. Booked us some good restaurants and suggested a fantastic local place to have breakfast.

  • Liked — The location, the decor and the staff
  • Disliked — reception might want to invest in a quieter phone ...

We had a wonderful experience at Crossing Condotti, everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Frattina Room which was beautiful. The location was ideal, the rooms were spotless and I couldnt find fault with any of the experience. The hosts were very accomodating offering advice and additional services.

All in all a brilliant time was had, we are already contemplating when we can next return!

  • Liked — Location, and the room quality, oh and very quiet!!!
  • Disliked — we were only there 4 days! wished we could have taken the bed with us.

My wife and I recently stayed several nights at Crossing Condotti and were very impressed with their attentive staff (thanks Max!), amazing linens, well appointed rooms, and great bathrooms. You cannot get any better than this location. You are steps to the bottom of the Spanish Steps, and equally close to the subway.

We loved that we could open our windows to our room and listen to various live musicians in the streets below. The rooms are also extremely quiet. The best sleep I had while traveling were at this hotel.

We knew in advance that this was not a traditional hotel, however we appreciated this even more that we felt like we were in our own apartment with an attentive concierge. The kitchenette is terrific - fully stocked with water, juice, soda, and beer. The Nespresso machine looked great, although we did not use it.

There are several great restaurants and cafe's steps away, so we did not miss the fact that we were not in a full service hotel.

Next time we are in Rome, we will not hesitate to stay here again.

  • Liked — Accomodations are upscale, but unpretentious - stylish, but very comfortable.
  • Disliked — No iron/ironing board, no robes.

I cannot find fault with this hotel since we paid 150 euro per night for this "hotel" in the heart of Rome. The location is ideal, and due to the soundproofed windows, exceptionally quiet. The decor is exceptional, the beds and linens first rate, and the bathrooms roomy and well proportioned. This isn't a hotel, however; the best we might explain this property is: it is like a shared dormitory apartment, with five bedrooms. There are five rooms in this "apartment" that takes up the second floor of an actual apartment building. You are given several keys upon your arrival; one to unlock the front door, one to unlock the security gate, one to unlock the "apartment" door, and the one for your room. There is a room immediately off to the left upon entering the apartment hotel, then a common "kitchen" area that houses a small refrigerator with bottled water and sodas (complimentary) and a coffee maker (also complimentary). Everything is easily explained and operated, even upon your first day of arrival. After the kichen area, there is a tiny reception desk and a sofa, designating the common sitting area. Then there are four other bedrooms past that. We will say that for 150 euro a night, we found it heavenly. The only problem we experienced was you could hear everyone coming and going throughout the night and early morning hours, since it really is an apartment with 5 bedrooms. We were okay with this, as none of the other guests were loud and obstrusive, only making the noises common to roommates. But if the price were to rise to normal hotel standards in the area (say, 400 euro a night), we would not recommend this "hotel" for that reason. Although the front desk person is helpful in recommending restaurants or taxi arrangements from 8:30 to 5:00 daily, you are pretty much on your own should you be in need of services at other times of your stay. We found that if the price were to equal other hotels, we would much prefer the services a full-time hotel staff would have available. We do recommend this hotel, for the current prices.

  • Liked — Rooms were divine; location is ideal
  • Disliked — Dormitory style in design/lack of privacy
