Thank you very much for the extremely knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining tour. Not only did we all feel like we got far beyond our money's worth, but it very enjoyable. Compared to all of our other options, this was by far the most economical and I can say with near-certain surety that it would surpass the expectations of most tourists visiting the Vatican. I would hands-down recommend this to anyone who asked.

Liked the innovative approach to recruitment in front of the Vatican. An articulate, refined, English-speaking associate approached us offering the opportunity to "preview" the tour guide who was giving preliminary background info. to the group ("Don't stay and don't pay, if you're not taken with him," she said.)
Also liked the innovative approach to tour delivery. The tour guide (company owner Jason) used wireless headphones which worked great, had extensive knowledge of the Vatican and took more of an educational approach (queryied members of the tour, testing us subject matter knowledge) rather than the more traditional download/blitz of information. The pretour stop at the local eatery to use toilet facilities, grab a last minute bite and test out headphones was an innovative plus.

So I went to Rome, Italy for Easter 2009. Being a Roman Catholic and temporary working in the London UK, I figured where else to go for Easter bank holiday than the Vatican! Not having any plans whatsoever I turned to Trip Advisor to find some local tour groups. Stumbled across Love 4 Adventure. Had great reviews and an even better website! It's run by a fellow Canadian named Jason. I wanted to see and experience Rome as much as I could in the 4 days that I was there and L4A took excellent care of me. Began with the Rome City Night Tour. Excellent for starting out a trip in Rome! Our guide, Kaitlyn, was very personal and very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. She took the time to answer all of our questions without breaking a stride in the tour. Saturday I met the man himself, Jason Pittelli, for the Vatican tour. This guy is truly something else!! You could only imagine what the line-up to the Vatican would be like on Easter weekend and Jason entertained us for the entire time. Not to mention that he didn't even start talking about the Vatican itself! He's just a plethora of information! Funny and very easy to talk to. After the tour was done I pulled Jason to the side and asked him if it was possible to attend one of the masses during the Easter celebration. He advised me that you have to request tickets about 6 months in advance but he said that he'll look into it for me! I gave him my Canadian cell # and believe it or not he called me later that afternoon and told me to meet him at St. Peter's Square at 7pm. He was able to get a ticket from a local priest for the Easter Vigil inside St. Peter's Basilica. I was absolutely thrilled and it just goes to show what kind of guy he really is. He will try his hardest to make your experience in Rome the best one possible. He definitely did it for me!! Thanks L4A for the BEST ROME TOUR!!

Strange that the ranking of this tour group isn't hire considering for every 1 negative review there's.... 53 good ones. (?? Is Trip Advisor jacked?)

Personally, I'm very difficult to please and I HATE tour guides. But when you don't speak the language they can be a necessary evil and a rip-off. This wasn't the case with Love 4 Adventure. Our tour guide was incredibly helpful, fluent in Italian, and surprisingly...impressive with Art History. And that's not easy for Rome considering the insane amount of history it has.

What I enjoyed most was it the energy, the pacing, and the insider-knowledge of where to go, what to try, where to eat - Tour guides aren't usually this cool. It wasn't a fake cool either which is always appreciated.

I would do it again, especially for the price - it's a steal. They aren't condescending to out of towners and that's something you'd expect from most guides. For the record, our Sistine chapel experience was perfectly fine.
