paid a deposit to go on 2 guided tours, got confirmation though and confirmation of deposit, we turned up at meeting point to find no one there to meet, felt very let down and scammed fortunately their was a very good company to pick up pieces. Fantastic tour with roman candle tours and our tour guide brian was brillant!!!! Use them, they turn up and everything!!!!

We took part in a Vatican tour and it was a very enjoyable experience. A very friendly guide (Aoife) who had good knowledge of the history and art of the place and was able to convey it in an interesting way. We learned so much more than had we visited on our own. I would definitely recommend When In Rome to make your holiday experience more worthwhile.

we were only able to spend one day in rome, on July 25, 2008 - our last day in italy before returning home to Honolulu. when realizing the many historic places to see, i made the choice to splurge and have a personal tour. if you are ever in a similar situation, contact "when in rome tours" (d. russo). this was one of the best decisions i made!
we were well taken care of by ann marie who met us at our train stop in rome. (we caught an early train from bologna). she made sure we were always comfortable. we felt so relaxed and were able to appreciate rome's beauty. she adapted the tour of all the memorable locations to me and my 9 yr old. i appreciated her listening to my daughter and taking the time to explain the culture of that time, the culture of the people of rome's amazing history.

We cannot say enough good things about When In Rome Tours. We had a private guide for a "Rome In A Day" tour as well as Pompei. They were very knowledgable and we could tell that they really loved what they were doing. We will recommend them to everyone we know who is planning a trip to Italy. It was fantastic.
