“Good location, good service, high price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2010

The hotels location is very close to Termini station so if you're getting to Rome from the airport or by train, this is very convenient. Moreover, I feel its abit away from alot of the road noise and traffice so, while we could hear things at night, it did not bother us.

The beds were extremely comfortable for us, and, as others said in other reviews, we found the service top notch. The were prompt, friendly, helpful, and always available when we needed them.

I like the clean rooms, clean bathrooms, and nice amenities like a good room safe. Like some other people, I had trouble connecting my laptop with the wifi, but they do have a computer available to use and it worked fine.

After a couple nights in one room, the air conditioning gave out but they immediately put us in a different available room with much better air conditioning, so we were fine. There do seem to be problems with the ventilation as the air conditioners would condense and drip water, even at rather warm temperature, so it wasn't us.

The breakfasts were good; fresh fruit, some good self service espresso/coffee, juices, cereal, pastires and very warm hard boiled eggs. I liked it alot.

This is an expensive place to stay but its great location and good service make it something you should consider if you want a hotel in Rome for a few days.

I've stayed here for one night. I chose this place because of the good reviews and indeed, it's a great stay. The hotel is clean, beds are goods, there's a decent breakfast and the price is excellent. Location is great too!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2010

Just returned from a long weekend staying at Suite Dreams with our young daughter. We had very high expectations from reading the Trip Advisor reviews. This property is in an ok position in the City, however, due to the very hot weather we found walking too far with our daughter not an enjoyable experience and took full advantage of the reasonable taxi service. Our room was modern with a double bed (2 singles together) and a separate bed for our daughter. The mattresses firm and ok but not madly comfortable. Ample wardrobe space and a spacious modern and clean bathroom. Bring your own travel kettle and supplies if you like tea/coffee in your room. I couldn't sleep at 4am due to the room being too hot, and try as I may I could not get the air conditioning unit to come on, so that was an uncomfortable night. Unlike most "hotels" there is no information booklet in the room. Personally we felt this would have been very helpful, certainly regarding the immediate area (restaurants, facilities, bus tours, metro etc). There is a recommended restaurant list at reception but it is under a glass top and not apparently available to take away. Unfortunately we were unable to connect our laptop to the WiFi, but there is free internet access for guests we used. We had a view of a side street and a fair amount of traffic noise from the nearby main road, especially during the week. Breakfast was a fairly basic continental affair. One morning there was a gorgeous fresh fruit salad, but that was the only day out of four we were there. Staff on the reception were helpful - some more than others, but no-one unpleasant. All spoke good English, apart from the gentleman on the evening we arrived.

We were happy eating out at local restaurants, and if you take the time to wander away from the main thoroughfares you are rewarded with great Italian Cafe/Bars.

We took a tour with the 110 bus service. 15 euros per adult for a 24 hour ticket. Takes two hours to do a full City Tour, which you can hop off and on at all the major stops, and you pick the bus up a few minutes walk from Suite Dreams.

One general tip is regarding taking a taxi to/from the City from Rome Ciampino Airport. There is a flat 30 euro fare - do not be tempted by the rogue taxi drivers who offer a fare for more than this (one aggressive taxi driver on the night we arrived wanted 60 euros - and he got a couple of women to agree to it). There appeared to be some sort of security guard overseeing the taxi rank and the police nearby, but they completely ignored the rogue driver who caused an obstruction with his taxi, and was clearly flouting the 30 euro rule.

Would we stay at Suite Dreams again? Probably not. Would likely choose a slightly more central location.

My wife and I had never been to Europe before, and were incredibly impressed with our experience with SuiteDreams. Everything we had read about was true. Pierre Francesco was a fantastic host. He gave us good tips on where to visit and even arranged for a wonderful evening out at a local restaurant. The location was perfect for people who love to walk. The hotel itself was modern, very clean with a beautiful breakfast room and possibly the greatest shower experience ever after walking the streets of Rome all day. When it was time to leave our host wrote up an entire itinerary for our continued travels. My wife and I both agreed that this was the perfect introduction to this fantastic city. We can't wait to return!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at SuiteDreams in May 2010. We were looking for a centrally located hotel, in a quiet location, with modernized rooms where we could be comfortable and close to all attractions. SuiteDreams fit the bill exactly. It is a small hotel located in a side street away from heavy traffic noise and yet perfectly located. We walked to all attractions from the hotel but if you prefer to use the metro, the nearest station is a 2 minute walk. Roma Termini is about a 15 minute walk, or a 2 minute walk to the metro and then travel 1 stop to Termini.

A light breakfast is provided in a small breakfast room each morning.

The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating and can provide a wealth of information about the city. It is possible, through the hotel, to arrange for a limo to and from Fiumicino Airport...we did so this time but next time we will take the commuter train from the airport to the Termini and walk to the hotel....due to traffic conditions the limo ride is about an hour....the train takes 20 minutes.

We will definitely stay at Suite Dreams on our next visit to Rome.

(Thanks to Federico, Pierre-Francesco and all the staff at SuiteDreams).

We just returned from our trip to Italy and based ourselves out of SuiteDreams while we were in Rome. Overall, I think I would stay here again if we returned to Rome. The location is great, close to Termini and about a minute walk to the nearest Metro station. I left for a few days before returning and was able to leave my bags with them; it was a huge plus for me that this hotel is staffed 24-hours a day, unlike some other properties I was considering. Breakfast was the standard continental variety. The staff was helpful in making reservations for us, which is more important than I thought it would be in Rome. If you choose this hotel, I think you'd be happy with your choice.

For those looking for a friendly welcome, a good-sized room and bathroom for an affordable price including a good breakfast buffet (for Italy!), SuiteDreams is the right ticket. It's near "Reppublica", so it's not directly at any of the main tourist areas which can be an advantage. However, the underground is close by (2 minutes walk) and there are plenty of buses. The Colosseum and Forum are very accessible as are the Trevi Fountains and Spanish steps. The Vatican is only 6 stops on the underground and it's 15-20 minutes walk from the Villa Borghese. Several good, affordable restaurants close by (Via Palermo has 3 or 4 good restaurants for example). Don't go to this hotel if you want a view from your window!
