If you want great pizza and an entertaining night, Pizzaria Formula 1 is always a sure thing.
They are only open for dinner and closed on Sundays. If you go after 8 in the summer, be ready for a line. The place is huge, so waits usually go fast.
Inside, you'll probably be lead to the back room which is down some stairs, and full of red and white checkered tables. It can get loud and is always fun. Be ready for the waiters to be friendly and teasing, in the best way.
The menu has a range of starters and fritti, and an incredible amount of pizzas to choose from. Pizzas, beer and wine are all cheap and we usually spend about 10-12 Euro a person. Of course, a sip or limoncello or any other digestivo is complementary if you ask for it at the end of your meal.
It's in a cool part of Rome, so you'll have no trouble finding somewhere in the neighborhood (San Lorenzo) to go out after dinner.
