The food here is good, but years ago it used to be very good. Since the menu changes daily, it is hard to recommend a particular dish. We read the menu posted outside and decided what we wanted to eat, only to find it is was the previous day's menu. That was disappointing, since if you are not a meat eater it is often difficult to find something to order. Many of their pasta dishes even have meat. It is still a good, reliable place for lunch. They used to only have their menu posted outside and on two chalboards inside - all in Italian. Now they offer printed menus with an English translation, which is helpful.
The service has always been good. Since we have been coming here for decades, we are always recognized when we show up.
They are open from noon to 3 p.m, Monday through Saturday. I would suggest coming as close to noon as possible since it gets very crowded about 1 p.m. They do accept credit cards.
