I just want to make something clear before I continue. A few people here have complained about the food/service. Grotta Azzurra in VIA MONZA is a sea-food only restaurant, so those of you who talk about meat filled pastry, tomato sauce on the pasta etc. are talking about one of the other 2 "Grotta Azzurra's" in Rome.
I have lived in and visited this beautiful city on and off for the last 10 years and up until today this place has served nothing but sea food.
The food is delicious, well presented and with good prices. If you do not order from the menu the staff will serve you a tremendous amount of food starting with a glass of Prosecco and numerous plates of antipasti + 2 smaller servings of pasta/risotto before they bring in your own choice of main course, all for a total price of approx. € 40-45/person.
I don't drink wine myself so I'm not quite sure how much they charge for a bottle, but the food is of very high standard and low price compared to elsewhere in Rome.
You will also find a lot of Italians eating here (of whom many are returning guests) which is yet another good sign of quality.
I highly recommend this place!
