I dined with my daughter and her friend my last night in Rome. Although I love pizzas and pastas, it was a welcome change to have food from a butcher's table. We started with a crostini and it was my error to think that classic Roman meant an assortment. Our crostini was spread with a purée of liver which I liked but my two girls were surprised by. The other crostinis sounded delicious too! My study abroad daughter was thrilled to finally have some meat. Her sliced beef steak was cooked nicely, its flavor and texture rich. I ordered the Saltimbocca which was yummy. Our threesome was completed with the Roast Pork and we shared a side of braised artichoke. A charming young man provided friendly and efficient service. The end of our meal was the highlight when the attractive waiter brought some lemon liqueur and biscotti. The food was very good and I feel fortunate to have stumbled into such a lovely restaurant.
