Relais Rome Sweet Home Navona is conveniently located and is within walking distance to almost all of the major sites in Rome. My wife and I found the place after countless hours of research on the internet and were impressed. We were there for 3 days for our honeymoon and we were welcomed with a bouquet of flowers, champagne and some helpful maps. The free wireless internet is a big plus, especially when you're trying to find different things around Rome. Breakfast consists of a simple, yet very good croissant that is hung on your door each morning. The hotel is located in an alley and the front looks a little suspicious. However, once you climb the two or three flights of stairs (no elevator), you'll reach your modern room. We were in the Suite Comfort plus. There's a flat screen TV with satellite TV, above average bathroom, coffee maker, air conditioning controls (a plus in the summer!!!) and a comfortable bed. The towels are a little thin, but was expected. If you have a room facing the alley, it can be a little noisy throughout the night. Overall, we liked the hotel and would consider staying there again.

  • Liked — Cleanliness of room, wi-fi

Just returned from staying at the Relais Rome Sweet Home Navona and we enjoyed a really relaxing break.

First things first, if you want full-on hotel service this isn't going to be the place for you. It is pretty much living like a local with your own apartment. For us that suited us down to the ground - no hassle, no bumping into 'typical' tourists in reception - just great modern accommodation right in the heart of the Centro Storico action.

The room wasn't the biggest but had all mod cons: flatscreen TV with Sky, kingsize bed, coffee machine, mini bar, excellent shower and bathroom and (much-needed) decent double glazing. Breakfast was a croissant on the door handle each morning leaving you to sort out the coffee.

Decor is stylish and contemporary and the room was spotlessly clean. Don't be put off by those unassuming communal entrance and stairwells.

Special mention to Franco who looks after the place, he was a top chap and was really helpful with great recommendations for restaurants and bars off the tourist trails.

  • Liked — Location, Staff, Room
  • Disliked — Sliding door to bathroom was a bit of a pain if I'm being picky!

it took a long time to find a suitable hotel, but in the end decided on this one. the location was perfect we could walk everywhere, and it was very safe at night.
the hotel from the outside is very shabby, but once you start to walk around you will find this is common in rome. lots of narrow alleys with doors leading to appartments.
i wouldnt call this a hotel, more of a self catering appartment,as there is no reception or restaurant. dont let this put you off as the rooms are compact but all brand new. it was like walking into a room designed by ikea... white/clean and all you need. the bathrooms are brand new you couldnt have a cleaner room!
the owner leaves you fresh croissants on the door in the morning and there is a very good coffee machine in the room. we had a room for 3,it was compact but all we needed.
i would highly reccomend this place. but please be aware, ther is no faccility to leave your bags if you have an afternoon flight, but you can go to the terminal station and pay 4 euros to leave your case for 5 hours so you dont have to lug them around!

  • Liked — brand new
  • Disliked — couldnt leave bags after checkout

Just returned from a long weekend in Rome.
OUr accomodation at Relais Navona was really good..........dont be put off by the rather dark and old stair well up to the 2nd floor of the building......once you open the front door to the suites its like moiving forward in time ! Our group were lucky to have all 3 rooms/suites to ourselves, so it was home from home......Beautiful modern furnishings , comfy beds, TV and coffee making facilities and mini bar if required.
Francesco our key holder was very helpful....apologies that he had to come away from his football match last Weds to meet us.
Thanks also for advising us to go to Da Francesco restaurant jjust off Piazza Navona.........great meal, reasonably priced and the waiters were pretty cute too !

  • Liked — Central and extremely clean and fresh
  • Disliked — Entrance & stairwell does not give a good first impression, but understand that the building is privateley owned by apartment owners
