We found this hotel online after landing in Rome and being wholly disappointed with the useless hotel which Thomas Cook had booked for us which was miles away from the city centre. Who goes on a city break to stay an hour away from the city itself??! Anyway. The Boutique Hotel Trevi is the perfect base for exploring Rome. Located just a few paces from the Fontana di Trevi the pleasure to be derived from hearing the fountain whilst drifting to sleep after a full day's sightseeing and then on waking in the morning in anticipation of another is immeasurable. It was a gentle 15 min walk from the hotel to the Spanish Steps, Colosseum and Pantheon and only another 10 or so to the Vatican City. The hotel staff were wonderful - friendly, efficient, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them to accommodate. The room we had was well equipped with tasteful decor and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was lovely with powerful shower and deep relaxing bath - perfect for resting aching limbs after climbing the hundreds of steps in St Peter's Basilica! The Boutique Hotel Trevi is in a top location within easy walking distance of all the sights any visitor to Rome would want to see. We booked online and found a real bargain in a relatively expensive city which made the experience all the better. Highly recommended.

Having been to Rome before and having stayed at a 5* hotel, approximately 5-7 miles outside of Rome, I wanted a hotel with a good location this time.

I was told about this hotel by my cousin who stayed here a few months before I booked and having now stayed there, I was very glad to have been told about it.

We arrived in Rome at about 10am and got to the hotel at around 10.45am. The hotel staff held our luggage for us as we could not check in until 2pm. I also had some medication which needed to be kept cool. The hotel staff offered to keep this medication in the room which had been booked for us. I was very impressed with the way that we were spoken to and helped. Understandably, check in time was at 2pm and so a room could not be offered to us until that time.

The location of the hotel was second to none and truely excellent. Right in the middle of all of the attractions and close enough to walk. There is a supermarket literally 5 minutes walk away for any essentials and the Trevi Fountain is less than a minute away.

The hotel staff offered to book us on excursions but we didn't take any of these. My advice for Rome would be to que up for the attractions and not to go with tour guides outside. They offer to skip the que etc but in all honesty, we didn't wait for more than 5 10 minutes in any que anyway and so paying the extra amount would have been a waste of money. The main attractions all offer audio guides as well at a cheaper rate and so I would personally take that option.

The room was very clean and was nicely laid out. It could have been slightly larger but then to be honest, we didn't really mind as even when we were relaxing in the room, there was more than enough room to do so.

All in all, I would deffinately advise to look for a hotel in a good location rather than one which is cheaper in Rome. The location of this hotel is very, very good and so I would deffinately stay here again.

New travelers to Italy. Did a 12-day tour with Globus but went to Rome a day early. Chose the Boutique Hotel Trevi on line based on reading reviews of previous quests. The hotel is steps away from Fountain Trevi and minutes to Pantheon and Place Navona. Needless to say, the location is beyond excellent!! And hotel was wonderful. We e-mailed them to have a car pick us up at the airport and this worked out great. Our hotel room, 501, was beyond our expecations based on some of the reviews we had read. Our room overlooked a pedestrian street with lots of cafes and restaurants. We also had a balcony overlooking rooftops and the street. We bought a bottle of wine and sat out on the balcony and enjoyed our first evening in Rome. If we get back to Rome, we will definitely stay there. We threw our coins in the fountain!!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Boutique Trevi Hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and helpful and had ensured that the taxi's we'd pre-booked were at the airport ot meet us and to return us in good time for our flight home. The room we were allocated was really beautiful, pannelled, well furnished. We had a jacuzzi bath with overhead shower and contrary to other reviews we'd read before we travelled, the plumbing was perfect. The level of cleanliness was superb, we noticed that the cleaning was supervised every day. The only poor point of the stay was the breakfast-very poor quality, no fresh breads or rolls and a very limited selection of meats and cheese. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others. S. This hotel is right next to the Trevi fountain, down one of the main streets off the square. The downside of this is, if you get a taxi from the airport, it can't quite get to the hotel! However, not a big deal.

The hotel itself is quiet, clean and has a fairly luxurious feel to it. Our room was on the top floor, and although it was very small there was adequate space for a city break. The bed was very comfy, there was enough wardrobe space (although very few coat hangers!) and despite what some other travellers have written, our bathroom was lovely if prone to flooding when the shower was used. It was extremely peaceful despite its central location which was great.

Breakfast is in the basement, get there early to get a table (we had to wait a while one morning). the choice is what I'd expect in a central European hotel - lots of different hams and salamis, some cheese, bread, yoghurt and a small seletion of fruit.
