I stayed for 5 nights in this hotel and it was ok. I don't think that they deserve 4 *,maybe 3*.The internet wasn't working properly (in one day it didn't work about 10 hours and another day 12 hours) but they charge me for the whole day (24 h/8 euro). The breakfast it's basic.I didn't have a shower gel in the bathroom, but it had a jacuzzi. The location is the best quality of this hotel,on a walking street full of shops, cafes and ice creams, very close to Fontana di Trevi (1 min).

Before going to Rome, I've read on Tripadvisor that staff of the Boutique Hotel Trevi is unexperienced and they do not care about people. But this didn't stop me, because I couldn't imagine why guests would need their help so much. Now I know why.

Although this hotel is situated 20 meters from goargeous Fontana Trevi, my stay at the hotel was horrible. It was february and +8 degrees at daytime, about 0 at night. So it was cold outside and to my surprise inside hotel also. The staff showed unexperienced and not welcoming from the first minutes, but I didnt pay attention. I went up to the room. It was very, very small, the size of an elevator, I think, and in the room it was very cold. In the bathroom it was just freezing, because the heating thing (not sure about the word in english) was cold. So The climate-control on the wall in the showed +15 degrees in the room, I turned to 30 and fell asleep for 3 hours. When I woke up, the temperature in the room was just the same. I went down and told the staff - I am leaving to do sightseeng, please do smth, so that when I return I could live in that room. 7 hours later I came back. The temperature was the same. I called the night reception, they said - nothing to do. I asked to bring the heater, they didnt have one. Plus there was no extra quilt in the wardrobe. So I went to sleep all dressed - sweater dress, poncho - all my clothes. In the morning I wanted to take shower - I couldnt. I was still freezing in the bathroom.
I went to breakfast and caught their a woman, a manager and told her about my terrible night. She said - ah... room 406, I know, sorry. So that means that everybody knew about my problem and did NOTHING. That night was horrible. I felt like sleeping on a street, dressed and freezing. And that was, by the way, a 4 star hotel.
They just dont care about guests. The breakfast is also of poor quality. I wish I chose some other place to stay or slept on a street.

myself and my boyfriend just spent 2 nights in this hotel. i really wish it could of been longer as this hotel was so great. location could not been better just step outside and you could hear the fountain.A lot of the sites are within easy walking distance. i could not recommend this hotel enough. rooms were very very nice compare to other hotels we had looked at. the staff were so helpful and could not do enough for us.ill definately be returning to this hotel , hopefully within the next few months as i loved rome.

After staying at the Splendide Royal in September I would by far recommend the Boutique Hotel Trevi if you are looking for a more central location and value for money.

We had twin room 502 at the front of the hotel (high up on the 5th floor) which was smallish but elegantly decorated and with a narrow balcony with one chair overlooking the rooftops and street below and the top part of the Fontana di Trevi, which is just 10 seconds walk away. The bathroom had a great jacuzzi bath - it could be a bit small if you are very tall or obese though.

I know lots of people don't like being in the hustle and bustle of it all but I loved it! However this was January and not July! It's only a maximum 10 mins walk to the Pantheon - 2 mins. walk to the Via del Corso, etc. so in respect of location this hotel is A1.

Breakfast was really good - all the usual choices of cold meats/cheeses/croissants and cakes with 'help yourself'' to all the different coffees. It is a small breakfast room in the basement so I could imagine that it gets a bit hectic at peak times but the hotel does offer room service free of charge.

The staff were a bit distant but helpful if asked for advice so certainly nothing to complain about.

We used the Metropolitana a few times - very reasonable at a fixed price of 1 euro a journey - ticket machines on every station. If you arrive by train into Termini beware the rogue taxi drivers directly outside the station wanting to charge 30 euros for transfer to the hotel - the actual fare is between 8-11 euros.

I would not have any hesitation staying here again - I loved it!
