I found that the staff was very knowledgable ,and willing to assist with any question or service that you may inquire about. The rooms were excellent and very clean. The waitress and bar staff were also excellent and I found that they made the experience also pleasurable. The continental breakfast was good and light. Your location to transportation was well within walking distance and the hotel was in an great location. Thank You very much for your service and will stay there the next time I visit Rome.

Sincerely, Gabrielle Miliner

The building is an old villa recently refurbished, so everything is pretty much brand new. The rooms are very well appointed but avoid those in the basement. Furthermore, there must be a problem with the administration dept, because I too had the problem of a mismatched reservation. Quite far from downtown, but that could easily be a plus in Rome.

The hotel is pretty new, rooms are quite nice but avoid the ones on the ground level since it could be noisy. The hotel staff is also super friendly, The breakfast is very special, so do not miss it! The hotel is not in the center of Rome but it has an easy access to the touristic sights by both subway (8-10 min walking) or bus. I'll defenitely come back to Principe Torlonia in my next trip to Rome. Enjoy!!!

As with another review we were concerned about what rooms we would be given having booked through 'TravelRepublic.co.uk'. We were given two first floor rooms, both with balconies. Spotlessly clean and the staff were helpful. We did have a problem with the air conditioning in the rooms not working - even after two attempts to have this fixed - didn't detract from our stay however.

Make use of the roof terrace, especially at night!

Breakfast is typical continental-style fair and the staff are polite and helpful.

The Metro line is only 8-10 minutes away and takes you straight into town.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want a pleasant quiet stay in Rome. We shall be staying here again!

We were returning from a cruise and had a day in Rome to see what we could... we wanted a place away from the mobs at Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, and the Colosseum. So, I booked this charming htel which is a residential area with a school. The rooms were nice and modern. A few tips: The key needs to be turned chip-side up to open the door. Then, insert the key in the slot on thewall next to the door once you are inside. You cannot turn on lights until then.

The phones had no buttons for the front desk and "0" did not work either. The staff was helpful. They ordered a taxi for us the night before and sure enough, a Mercedes was waiting at exactly 8 after we finished breakfast. The breakfast area is nice and the hotel is very clean. The decor is nice and they even allowed 12 noon check-in for us., The staff was nice and helpful to us.

The Metro was only a 5-7 minute walk. If you are wanting to go to the center of Rome, then take the Metro train from the Bologna station and go in the direction of Laurentina. Five stops into the ride is the Coloseo stop. The Coloseum is actually right outside the train station as you exit there. You can walk to the Trevi Fountain, the Palantine, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon ...all from there. There is a GREAT ice cream place just to the left of the Pantheon exit on the corner called NICE ICE. The chocolate ice cream is awesome and NON-DAIRY. No milk. All chocolate. It was awesome. This place has won an international competition fr ice cream.

The breakfast starts at 7 am in the hotel. It is a good one. There is a breakfast room and a rooftop open seating area. Go up and take advantage of the rooftop if you can. The lift is small so dont expect more than three people at a time.
