Had a great stay at the Diana during the early part of September. The staff were knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. The location was perfect for the archaeological sites we wanted to visit beside the obvious Pompeii just 10 minutes walk away. Three railway stations allowed us to access other sites, the fares being ridiculously cheap! Taxi's should be regarded as highway robbery by some, they seem to pick some prices out of thin air so make sure you agree a price before you get in!
The hotel was clean, the food was fine, the bar was good and we met some really nice fellow travellers whilst there for 5 days. Pompeii town is great, make sure you visit the church, some amazing fresco's on the ceiling, the architecture is just gobsmackingly amazing too!
You can eat anywhere around the main square, most of the restaurant's provided a good standard of food at a reasonable price, in fact we were amazed prices were not higher.
Overall a good trip, if I were to go back I would certainly be happy to stay at the Diana.
