(Named after the stinky fish sauce beloved of Romans in antiquity I believe) this restaurant serves fine fresh food at very reasonable prices. The 3 item starter is a must. The fish dishes are excellent (at the time of year we visited when few are about some is frozen but this is clearly marked on the menu!)
The steak is served on a hot stone keeping it sizzling and all the dishes we had on the 2 nights we ate there were delicious. It would have been three but it was fully booked for a Xmas party one night.
It is very obviously a "locals" restaurant - no glossy multi lingual menus and the sweets are displayed in a cool cabinet - choose only 1 if you can!
Staff are friendly and the service is good, and the chef really cares and comes out to see you at the end of your meal.
Prices are extremely reasonable and the choices of local wines are good.
Well worth a visit (or two!)
It was very quiet the nights we ate there so difficult to judge the atmosphere, had it been busier I feel it would have been very good.
