“Perfect location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Hotel very accessible to Pompeii ruins. Literally 2 minutes walk and you'll be at the entrance. About 10-15 minutes walk to train station which gives you access to Naples & Sorrento. Due to it's proximity to the ruins, the surrounding area is filled with stalls that sell the usual souvenir stuff. An opportunity for great hagglers like myself! Breakfast is a bit of a let down. Not much choices and almost the same every morning. Otherwise, very neat and tidy. Staff are accommodating, they speak good English - life saver for my poor Italian! Overall - good value for money!

I stayed here with a friend - we chose it because it was basically directly across from the ruins. Which was a great convenience. The hotel was also very nice, very clean. The courtyard/patio area was very nice as well, which is where they serve breakfast. We only stayed for two nights, but it was a very pleasant stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. A close location for the ruins doesn't really get much better than Hotel Forum!

Comfortable Hotel, Clean rooms, Helpful staff even upgraded us to a suite and superior rooms for our three day stay.Irena and Valentina where especially helpful and made a special effort to make our stay enjoyable.Very good location near the excavations of Pompeii and buses to the other sites just across the road.I parked free of charge nearby which made the whole trip stress free as well.A Good breakfast was included in the price with cooked and cold meat as well as the usual cake, fruit and pastries.

reserved two rooms, one on south side just above the beautiful courtyard for my father in law and one on the upper floor facing north with a beautiful view of Vesuvius and the ruins for my wife and I. This hotel has a great location if you have come to see Pompei. The rooms were nice and clean. The front desk was very helpful, thanks Valentina, and spoke english. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the courtyard for dining, thanks to Elana and Helena for your service. Overall for the value and service I would return to Hotel Forum and would recommend to any one else if they wanted to see Pompei to stay there

Room Tip: upper floor for a view, back side for the quiet of the courtyard

The Pros: The location of the hotel is great for exploring the ruins. Free parking. Decant internet reception. Nice gardens, lobby and breakfast. In the evening plates of cheese, salami and olives were served in the lobby which was a nice and inviting touch.

The Cons: Room! Clearly not all the rooms have been renovated. The room we were given was small, cramped and dated with a small moldy shower. We booked through Booking.com and though we paid for the pictured double room ..that is definitely NOT what we got! We probably could have complained and switched.. But since it was only one night, we made the best if it.

We stayed one night while looking at the ruins of Pompei. It's impeccably located across the road from the entrance. We spent two wonderful days wandering the ruins of the ancient city. The hotel itself was amazing value for money - huge room at a very low price. Amazing buffet breakfast, cute gardens and dinner terrace. Highly recommended if you want to visit the ruins!! The actual modern town of Pompei itself is no great shakes. However this hotel is a diamond in a sea of charcoal.
