“Backpacker's dream”

La Controra in Naples makes my top ten worldwide hostel list. I stayed for three nights and was blown away by the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, the enthusiasm of the staff and the friendly atmosphere. It is located two minutes from the train station which will take you to Napoli centro in 10 minutes. I would stay here again!

Like the hostel in Rome, this hostel has really good staff who help you plan your stay. Mugu was especially helpful and we would not have enjoyed our time in the city as much without her friendly, informative guidance. If you're going to Naples, this hostel is clean and has lots of facilities. Definitely stay here

I stayed for 6 nights with my friends in this Hostel.
The receptions were very attentive and they also suggests you on places to go in Napoli.
The breakfast is the same served in everyday morning from 7-10am.
The location is kinda far from the train station but you can always take the metro which is 5 mins away at salavator rosa station, linea 1.
It was an wonderful experience to have the countdown for New Year 2015 with the staffs and friends in the hostel.

One thing I am very upset is that the wifi in the room doesn't work at all. The only place you can connet to wifi is at the reception area.

Loved it since I walked in, it's comfortable and it's got several common spaces to hang out. It's very organized and clean, and though it's very big, it doesn't have too many beds so it doesn't get too crowded. Nice music, welcoming atmosphere, willful and friendly staff.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, even the 10-bed dorms are big and comfortable enough, also there are lockers in...

Great place to stay ! It's a just a bit hard to find. But this is the only negative point. You can walk in 15 min to the centro storico ! If you're too lazy to walk the subway is just 200 meters away from the hostel. the staff is also very friendly and they have some really good hints for naples. the hostel is very clean, it has a nice backyard and a bar as well !

La Controra has all potential for being a really great place to stay, and mostly lives up to it. To start with the positives; The staff is all togehter lovely, helpful, quirky and funny - will help you out with anything from ordering espresso and pizza delivered to the hostel and providing you with all tips and tricks and must sees while in Napoli. The garden is nice and and the bar works as a melting place for locals and tourists, it's easy to socialise, but also, the rooms are surprisingly quiet and the music stops at around midnight as latest which makes sleeping easy. The only negatives - it's really big, and it's not very clean. All three days I stayed there the shower drainage was clogged and neither toilet nor showers got cleaned. There was a lot of things laying around from previous guests and the room gave a bit of a messy impression. However, it's a nice vibe and location and a good option if you wanna meet other travellers.

The staff is very welcoming and they give you great advise about where to go and the rules of the hostel.
There is a wall of top places you should go and visit Naples.
There is a big yard area, the bar, the kitchen, the computer room and lots of hostel dorms. Its a big hostel. I dont knkw if there are only girl dorms, if not they should have of that kind.
