“This Hotel is a Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

We stayed one night at the Hotel Piazza Bellini so we could could be within walking distance of the Naples Archeological Museum. The hotel is an easy two blocks walk to the museum. Naples is a zoo, but this hotel is a calm, relaxing retreat in the middle of the chaos. The room was comfortable and clean, and the building and courtyard are really beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and accomodating. The breakfast was out of this world. The best hotel breakfast we've had in years. If we ever found ourselves in Naples again, we would definately stay at this excellent hotel.

In the centro storico's nicest square, an excellent hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Well restored palazzo in boutique style, nothing fancy but eye catching graphic design. My single room was a decent size and had everything you need. And a good price, with breakfast included.

Room Tip: Ask for what you want - I got it exactly

My family of three was looking forward to staying at this quaint and unique hotel. We booked it for three nights. We were given room 205 which was far away from other rooms and we had to walk up many flights of stairs ( unreachable by lifts) to get to it. It was located in a corner of the mansion and the sensor lights did not really work. The room was huge and sparsely furnished. it was so huge that it was not possible to watch the tv while lying on the bed. The tv was just too far away! There was an old bamboo chair at each of the two corners of the room. There were many dust bunnies on the floor. It felt like a spooky attic. I could not stay here for even an hour! We got a change of rooms. it was handicap friendly but we did not mind as long as it's not spooky. At least there were rooms near ours. However, the toilet was disgusting. The toilet bowl was clearly not cleaned. I had to tell them to use bleach. The shower screens and in between wall tiles were filled with gunk. As i showered i could see the gunk flowing with the water. In the end we stayed two nights foregoing the money we paid for the third night.

Dear guest we are very sorry for what happened during your stay. But we want to clarify some points.
The hotel is located in an old building and the space organization is not standard as in many continental hotels.
It could happen that some room can be reached by stairs (on request we assist guest with luggage). But this is part of the peculiarities of the old buildings.
The 1st room you had is very large and spacious and many customers with children requires a big room like this.
The bamboo chairs you refer to are Thonet chairs, famous designer chairs from the early 1900s.
Regarding to the inadequate cleaning of the 2nd room you had we‘d like to apologize, for sure it will not happen again.
We are always at disposal of our clients looking to satisfy their demands during their stay and we think that reviews help to improve our work.

Everything about this hotel just suits me perfectly. I love the location, near the university, all the bookstores, the churches, everything you might want to see. It's not far from the train station, by taxi (€10.50) or Metropolitana, and from there you can get everyplace else, from Pompei to Salerno or Sorrento. I like the cool design of this hotel. The staff is great. The breakfast is very good. I've never had a noisy room, and although I see some people have found it noisy, the neighborhood is actually quite quiet at night -- unless something unusual is going on. It's always perfectly clean and comfortable.

Managed to get good rate for 2 nights stay in Oct recently. We expected a basic room, but were surprised when there is free toiletries provided and the room is spacious (terrace room) even with a baby cot. The room is clean and bright. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a decent view of Naples although we are not facing Mt Vesuvius. Breakfast spread was average though.

Hotel location is good. It costed Eur15 for taxi to the hotel from the main train station. National Archaeological Museum is within 5-10mins walk and a 30mins stroll down Via Toledo (shopping street) gets you to the sea. The hotel is near an university but it was quiet at night. Some people might be concerned at how quiet and dark the surrounding area is at night but with normal travelling precautions, we felt quite safe walking back to the hotel.

Will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Napoli.

The hotel is situated in the old town, very close to well known pizza houses, at a walking distance of shopping areas. The staff helped me very gently for my on-line boarding card and for calling taxis with every precautious details possible. The garden which serves as lobby is fantastic. I hope that you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: I had a room at the 6th floor with a terrace; I felt privileged.

Stayed Nov 2012. Fantastic hotel. Clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Rooms are clean, modern and everything you need. I had a terrice room and it had lovely veiws and great to sit out.
Its right in the middle of the old town, the only bit of Naples city worth walking around. Some say its not safe to walk around but I found it fine, use your common really, dont be an obvious target, as with all citys just watch your money, camera and its fine....lovely people.......and the Pizza!!!....wow!!.
Lots to see and do all in walking distance. Do some reaserch before you go so you dont miss out, some really interseting places are so well hidden. The undergroud catacombes and the Fontanelle cemetery are well worth a look also take the train to Pompeii, this was the second time there for me and i still find it amazing.
